Special containment procedure: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a hollow concrete container. The container is 3 meters in diameter, and 8 meters tall. The inside of the container is 1 meter in diameter, and 6 meters tall.
* The tube is to be kept inside a 15 meter by 15 meter by 15 meter containment cell.
* The tube can have no light source inside.
* The tube the entity is kept in can not contain any light source.
* There are to be no cameras inside the SCP's container.
* The containment cell is to be fully lit from all sides.
* The containment cells are to be monitored by infrared and normal cameras embedded into the wall.

Description
SCP-XXXX is a humanoid figure composed of a dark mist-like gas. The entity is only visible while encompassed by darkness / shadows. When a light is flashed onto the entity it will become aggregated and quickly jumping from shadow to shadow to attack the target. When there is no darkness / shadows in the line of sight of the entity, the entity will become unseeable by human eyes, infrared cameras and the entity will become incorporeal. The entity can increase the heat emitted by its body to about 1000° C in exactly 2 seconds. It is not guaranteed that this is the minimum or maximum temperature the entity is able to generate.

History
SCP-XXXX was discovered in Russia, where the entity was seen targeting children, ages 10 through 15 being the most common targets. The entity would appear inside the house, float up to the child and then increasing its external temperature to lethal levels. After one of SCP-XXXX victims escaped the locals dubbed it "The Shadow Walker". The foundation made contact with one of these survivors in 1962.

D-34651 was inserted into the containment chamber and SCP-XXXX was let out of his container. SCP-XXXX appeared into the subjects shadow and increased its temperature to 1000° C and the subject started boil. The subject passed away after 30 seconds. After the subject was deceased SCP-XXXX lowered its temperature to normal levels and returned to a docile state.
D-4035 is placed in a airtight container with a glass window pointing towards SCP-XXXX's container. The lights in the Containment cell are turned off and SCP-XXXX was released. Subject was instructed to use a flashlight and point it at SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX seemed to roar and appeared inside the subjects container and picked up the Subject. SCP-XXXX increased its temperature to 1000° C and the subject started to boil. Subject passed away after 30 seconds. After the subject was deceased SCP-XXXX lowered its temperature to normal levels and returned to a docile state.
D-56702 was inserted into the fully lit containment chamber and SCP-XXXX was released. SCP-XXXX immediately vanished and the subject was instructed to stand where SCP-XXXX vanished. No reaction.
D-56702 was inserted into the Containment cell. The lights in the containment cell were turned off and SCP-XXXX was released into the containment cell. Subject was instructed to throw a flashbang as far away from the subject as possible. When the flashbang went off, SCP-XXXX appeared over at the flashbang. SCP-XXXX temperature increased to 1000° C And the walls to the containment chamber melted. The lights were turned back on and containment was reestablished.
SCP-XXXX's container was moved into a containment cell were a house has been built. All lights have been turned off, except normal streetlights. All parts of the "House" have built in cameras covering all angels. D-56702, D-6582 and D-43651 have been sedated and placed in bedrooms in the house. SCP-XXXX was released into the containment cell. SCP-XXXX appeared inside the house and made his way over to D-43651's sleeping spot. SCP-XXXX started to increase its temperature, but D-45651 woke up. Immediately SCP-XXXX appeared outside the house. When D-45651 was again sedated, SCP-XXXX was then seen to appear back into D-45651's sleeping spot.
