Item #:SCP-XXXX
class: euclid
Special Containment Procedure: Object is contained in a metal holding cell, two walls lined with one-way mirrors that allow observation without triggering aggression caused by the presence of humans. The holding cell is 9.14400 meters in length, 4.57200 meters in width, and 7.62 meters in height.
Before we send staff into its container, we paralyze the object with tranquilizing sedatives.
Description: The subject appears to be a sentient being shaped like a human hand. Upon further examination, it has been revealed to have smaller, infantile feet.
The subject seems tranquil when left idle, but it is prone to react to humans in its presence. The subject has the uncanny ability to absorb human bodies and adding them to its mass.
Using our usual test subjects, we were able to observe how it attacks; the specimen presses its body into the victim and pinning the victim to a wall to hold them still, where it uses digestive juices coating its skin to consume and absorb the victim to add to its mass.
Addendum:
One week after discovery and containment of the specimen, it has been reported by various cleaners and other staff that the creature's small feet have been increasing. This discovery led us to believe that the absorbed victims' feet have been shrunken down by eating away at their internal mass and then pushing them to the surface of the creature's flesh. The feet have active nerves allowing the specimen to feet and move with these feet as if they belonged to it all along.
Update:
The specimen has revealed to staff how it may react to victims it is unable to immobilize. When stressed, the creature has been observed to be able to release an unidentified chemical that reverses the growth and development of a human victim within range. This reversal of growth compared to the normal growth and development of a human is greatly increased.
This sudden deterioration of the victim's adult form brings them to an infantile state, where the victim is then helpless and therefore easy prey for the specimen.
We sent in a D-class subject to observe this newfound ability more in-depth. We chose a more physically fit male who has demonstrated superior speed, strength, and reflexes due to exposure to equipment allowing the subject to increase durability. We have found no use for him until this specimen. The specimen had much trouble pursuing its prey, resorting to releasing its alien aging agents. The victimized subject started to twitch and quiver before rapidly decreasing in mass, shape and form.
The subject was reversed in age back to an infantile state, the specimen taking advantage of its now vulnerable prey. After the object ingested its prey, we sedated it with a paralyzing agent so we can send staff into the container.
The staff was instructed to collect samples of the specimen's digestive enzymes lining its flesh and samples of air to test for the aging toxin.
