OBJECT NAME: The Center of Gravity
SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES:
SCP-5000 is to be contained in a 100x100x100 meter room. The walls are 10 meters thick to protect staff from the urge to be near SCP-5000. Sprinkler systems are installed in the ceiling to clean gelatinous material from building up as SCP-5000 moves around its cell. Security cameras are installed in the upper corners of the cell in order to remotely watch SCP-5000. No diet is necessary for SCP-5000 as it is self sustaining by consuming excess gelatinous material.
OBJECT CLASS: Safe
DESCRIPTION:
SCP-5000 is a large, mobile sphere of clear, gelatinous material. This gelatinous material leaves chemical burns on all life it touches and creates a suction effect that pulls the life form into its viscous body. Once the life form has entered SCP-5000, the creature will exhibit mild to extreme distress and will slowly be dissolved and digested by SCP-5000. Once the object is fully digested, SCP-5000 will grow in size, by approximately double the size of the digested lifef orm.
All life in close proximity (approximately 10m radius) of the entity will have a sudden, severe urge to be as close as possible to and even touch SCP-5000 (These victims are classified as SCP-5000-1.). This urge will not leave the body until the creature touches SCP-5000 or is removed from the presence of the entity. Victims of SCP-5000 have been documented to have broken through extremely hard materials to get to SCP-5000. (The hardest being reinforced steel.)
SCP-5000 is extremely intelligent and can speak moderate English and Welsh. The specimen expresses intense joy during and after digesting life forms, even saying “This is what elation is! This is it!” while digesting a large human male of 90 kilograms.
