SCP-4238

SCP-4238 found attached and burning through a tree.

Item #: SCP-4238

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4238 is not to be let out of its containment cell at any time, it is a very dangerous entity and is very hard to control. If it does complete a successful breach of its containment cell, there is no other choice than to terminate it. It has the capability to help other anomalies escape and will if it is let loose.
SCP-4238's containment cell is to be kept at a temperature of 5 degrees F (-15 C, 258.15 K) at all times. This will prevent the possibility of the anomaly escaping its container. The highest temperature that the container can be at is 15 degrees F (9.44 C, 263.7 K), if it gets above this, all nearby personnel are to get as far away from the breached area as possible. Task force operatives will deal with the problem. All will be alerted when it is back in its containment cell. If SCP-4238 gets to close to another SCP's container, it is to be terminated at all costs.

Description: SCP-4238 is an amorphous blob of pure black coloring. Even though it has the ability of morphing its body into a lot of different shapes, it usually takes the form of an oval like shape with two tentacle like limbs on either side of its body. In the center of the entity are 15 little white spheres that are about one centimeter in diameter. These spheres are thought to be eyes, but it is unknown the true purpose of them.
SCP-4238 is a very dangerous anomaly. It has a similar pH level to that of hydrofluoric acid. One thing that researchers have found out about this anomaly is that its acidic properties don't work when introduced with extremely cold temperatures.

Test A - ██████, 24, ████ - 2:30 PM

Subject: SCP-4238
Procedure: Keep SCP-4238's container at -10 degrees F and put a block of metal in with the creature.
Results: SCP-4238 didn't burn through the placed metal in the container, even when it came in contact with it. It also didn't move as fast as it did before the test.
Analysis: SCP-4238's acidic properties are cancelled out when introduced to freezing temperatures.

SCP-4238 also ha the ability to leap up into the air and attach itself to a human's head. When it does this, its acidic properties will melt the face, killing the person. If the room is freezing cold, then SCP-4238 will strangle the person, cutting off all circulation to the brain.

Addendum: SCP-4238 is a very hostile and dangerous SCP and there is still a lot to be found out about it.
