Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4986 is to be kept in a room resembling a garage, with a metal floor. A ceiling magnet will be activated if SCP-4986-1 is to float toward a object not made of metal, in otherwise non threatening situations, be left alone. If magnet is to fail, Containment Specialists will be sent in immediately to restore/replace said magnet, and contain SCP-4986-1. SCP-4986-1 is to have a metal detector attached to it. SCP-4986-2 through 7 will be detached from SCP-4986 and SCP-4986-1 visa a mechanical crew until SCP-4986-1 has ended it's "Event", SCP-4986-2 through 7 is to be reattached back to SCP-4986 after SCP-4986-1 is finished.
Description: SCP-4986 is a automobile believed to have been built by Henry Ford. The material SCP-4986 is made of is hemp (similar to the original design of Henry Ford's Hemp Car). It has a windshield,designated as SCP-4986-1. It also has six different latches holding down SCP-4986-1 onto SCP-4986 now called SCP-4986-2 through SCP-4986-7. SCP-4986-1 looks like any default windshield made during that period in time while not it it's "Event" . SCP-4986 does not have any anomalous properties, except SCP-4986-1's draw to it.
Testing will never be done with Class-D's. Containment Specialists,and Level 3 Personnel and Higher are the only Personnel permitted inside of SCP-4986's Containment. Anyone attempting to open
SCP-4986's Containment who is not a Containment Specialists Personnel, or Level 3 Personnel or Higher is subject to Grounds for Termination.
SCP-4986 can be Contained by means such as a Metal Room and also can be Contained with the recently installed, Ceiling Magnet .
SCP-4986-1 will proceed to shake during it's "Event", in which the metal detector attached to it will begin to beep rapidly for 1-2 seconds, and may reactive at any given time before SCP-4986-1 starts floating. It is believed by The Foundation that the metal detector beeps because SCP-4986-1 becomes every material that has ever existed for a short time during it's "Event". More research must be done on its transformation stage. This is the time the Containment Specialists will be sent in to detach SCP-4986-2 to SCP-4986-7 from SCP-4986-1 (only during a test,otherwise SCP-4986-1 will sit there until its event ends). SCP-4986-1 will then rise into the air and go through anything except metal,and any sort of magnets, also sticking to any magnets within a 1 foot range.It will also shine a light blue, reflecting instead of being transparent. SCP-4986-1 is considered Sentient as of how it acts when being prodded to the magnet.
SCP-4986-1 is harmless to any organic life,as it is impossible to touch it without using magnets or metal. SCP-4986-1 will go through SCP-4986 since it is not made of metal. Capturing SCP-4986-1 is relatively easy, as it will eventually float into its Containment Magnet. If it does not float into the magnet, it will be pushed by Containment Specials (or if needed,Level 3 Personnel) with 1/2 foot rods into the magnet to keep it from floating through its containment. A update to soon be to made to SCP-4986 though SCP-4986-7's containment, is a metal room with one exit door made of metal.
SCP-4986-1's "Events" will happen between every 1-3 days. After SCP-4986-1 is done with its "Event" (lasting between One Minute and Eighteen Hours) it will return to SCP-4986 and will be transparent again, seemly hovering in the exact place it would usually belong if it was a normal windshield attached to SCP-4986. Research on SCP-4986-1's Connection to SCP-4986 is now in progress.
Addendum:
On The Night Of (DATA REDACTED) SCP-4986-1 was seen floating through the air, believed to be a plane light that Night. It is believed that by the SCP Foundation that SCP-4986-1 has taken hundreds, maybe thousands of flights over the years. Soon enough, Agent E████████ had heard reports of a blue light from an unknown source in the sky to appear every 1-3 days.After months of tracking it's landing Site, Agent E████████ found SCP-4986 through SCP-4986-7 in a Old Warehouse, dating back to 1917(pieces of SCP-4986-2 through SCP-4986-7 were found inside the glove compartment of SCP-4986). It is unknown how SCP-4986 got in the Warehouse. The Agent saw nothing odd inside, until SCP-4986-1 started floating while the Agent was inspecting SCP-4986.The object went through ██, causing much confusion for ██. The object (SCP-4986-1) bounced off of ██'s belt though, causing it to float through the warehouse. It was then collected by Foundation personnel after it had landed again. SCP-4986 and its counterparts are now stored at it's own Designated Site, which is Site █. Anyone who saw SCP-4986-1 floating mistook it for a plane light, no termination or amnesiacs for witnesses needed.
