SCP-XXXX

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained by SCP-XXXX-1.

SCP-XXXX-1 is to be kept in a 1 acre section of forest and monitored at all times of the day and night. The perimeter of this area is laid with gauge boundary wire which sends a shock to the subject whenever she is within 10m of it, transmitted from the micro tracking device injected into the subject's arm. As the subject closes in on the boundary, the electric shocks intensify in voltage and speed. Due to Incident 1102-C, the wireless fence surrounding SCP-XXXX-1's containment chamber has been replaced with an electric fence, 15m in height. As the subject is claustrophobic, the fences must remained cloaked at all times. The previous tracking microchip has been replaced in the subject's thigh and under no circumstance is she allowed to be made aware of it.

Security cameras have been fitted with cloaking devices, as visible cameras are often found by SCP-XXXX-1 and destroyed.

When being brought out of containment for non-physical testing, administer 5 mg/mL of midazolam alongside an appropriate antipsychotic, ensuring that cognitive and motor functions are still capable. All testing requiring the removal of SCP-XXXX must be done with express permission, whether it be through gaining her trust or by means of bribery if necessary. Do not resort to torture tactics.

Any examination requiring physical efforts must have Level 3 clearance. Heavy tranquilizers are prepared in case of an emergency and are to be applied as necessary. Do not make any attempts to covertly approach SCP-XXXX-1, as attempts are likely to end in extreme violence and/or death.

A terrain-appropriate ecosystem has been established to keep SCP-XXXX-1 busy and is to be maintained at a constant level of activity. Due to the fact that SCP-XXXX-1 hunts and forages for her own food, her diet does not need to be interrupted by any outside sources. Do not feed her candy. — Dr. Vasquez

Description: SCP-XXXX is a hollowed skull belonging to an unidentifiable species in the subfamily cervinae. It is the standard color of bone bleached by sunlight that displays slight iridescence when rotated in light, which also reveals inscriptions only comparable to primitive human language. A large symbol resembling a crudely illustrated eye is carved into the center of the skull's forehead. It glows when SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects are being tapped into by its host, while also seeming to have its own tapetum lucidum. Its current host is SCP-XXXX-1.

SCP-XXXX shapes its host into an effective hunter. It cannot be removed by outside parties, so it is difficult to discern which effects are attributed to SCP-XXXX and which are the natural abilities of its host without extensive testing, but SCP-XXXX seems to grant its host heightened senses and improved spacial awareness.

When active, the symbol carved into SCP-XXXX glows a hue between red and purple. During these times, SCP-XXXX-1's eyes are visible through the eye sockets of the skull and glow the same color. SCP-XXXX grants its host the ability to track down any target it comes in contact with regardless of time and distance. When asked about this, SCP-XXXX-1 stated that she is able to perceive an 'aura' specific to the item, unique in both color and smell, and that no two 'auras' are alike. When faced with an animate target in opposition to it, SCP-XXXX seems to be able to predict what movements the target will make next, allowing combat navigation with minimal injury a large portion of the time.

SCP-XXXX's peak effect is concealment of its host regardless of its surroundings, effectively rendering its host invisible. Rather than disappearing from all spectrum of light, SCP-XXXXblends its host in. Observers have stated that while they are able to perceive SCP-XXXX-1 in any location, their eyes will not pinpoint their position and if they try too hard, their vision will begin to blur, described as rapid vibrations.
