The Living Explosive
Containment Class: Euclid
Containment of SCP-XXXX requires steel walls and at least two guards. If there is an explosive noise in the chamber, do not go to investigate as this is considered normal. Any change in such behavior should be reported immediately. Diet will consist of low calorie meals to keep explosiveness at a low. In the event of a breach, the subject should be heavily sedated. Firearms and electrical weapons will result in an explosion that is equivalent to 2-5 kilograms of TNT.
SCP-XXXX is a tall, slender humanoid figure with a large carnivorous jaw. Despite this, it is an omnivore but shows a clear preference towards meat. Physical anatomy has proven nearly impossible as the skin is extremely durable and regenerates quickly. It is most likely because of the explosions that it produces. SCP-XXXX is very erratic and hostile when it hasn't blown up in a while. Afterwards however, it is docile and is too weak to fight. Do not try to handle it carelessly however as during this time, it is hungry and has no problem eating human flesh to regain strength. Although it does seem to be troubled by doing this afterwards
SCP-XXXX produces it's explosives through it's pores. The chemical is [DATA EXPUNGED] and will respond violently to the air. Each pore is similar in anatomy as the bombardier beetle in that it has three chambers. One is the sweat to cool it off. Although it never seems to have a problem with heat due to the explosions most likely. The other two are two chemicals that are usually inert. But together are able to make the explosions seen in SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX is intelligent and can speak English. Only some very simple words however. Any attempts to speak to it are met with it covering it's ears and blowing up the pores of it's hands to make it deaf. This is only temporary however since it can regenerate it's hearing system, but it'll keep doing this relentlessly if anyone trys to talk to it. Sometimes it'll speak though. One time it went up to the door to converse with the guards.
SCP-XXXX was found in a rainforest in [DATA EXPUNGED] eating a corpse of an animal that attacked it. It had no desire to fight back and went to The Foundation without trouble. Despite it's hostile appearance, it seems very social and the agents bringing it back said "Despite it's appearance, and little understanding of English, it tried to talk with us all the way here. While the rest of us ignored it, agent REDACTED tried to speak to it." Agent REDACTED on occasion visits SCP-XXXX. This seems to calm SCP-XXXX so it'll be allowed. If other agents try to speak to it however, it'll ignore them. Although still broken, it also has a much better understanding of English.
Experiment-001: D- 209978 is put into containment cell with SCP- [ ] to witness behavior after feeding
Result: SCP-XXXX ignored D-209978. After 209978 was instructed to shed some blood, SCP-XXXX spoke to 209978 saying "Not…monster. Leave alone". After D- 209978 left, SCP-XXXX looked at the door and whispered.
Dr [ ]: It has no interest in people after feeding. Even though it has a very clear preference to meat, and all we fed it was vegetables, it did not attack, but only acknowledge D- 209978. I wonder of the results if it was hungry.
Experiment-002: D- 212351 is put into container with SCP-XXXX while hungry
Results: SCP-XXXX Got up and went towards 212351. It then blew up, maiming but not killing 212351. It then ate D- 212351 starting with the head, promptly going to sleep afterwards. But not without crying for some time after waking up.
Dr. [ ]: I wonder why it started to cry? Does it have a connection to humans that makes it empathetic?
Experiment-003: To find the true explosiveness of SCP- XXXX, it was given a high calorie food and was put in a large room for 1 day to digest it
Result: It blew up with an eighth the power of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. This also caused an EMP that knocked out Site-[DATA EXPUNGED] causing a mass containment breach. Luckily, most of the SCP's were Safe with only a few Euclid and [][] Keter.
Dr. [ ]: This should never be attempted ever again. We're just lucky that we weren't near Site-REDACTED or else SCP-682 would have been released.
Experiment-004: Denied by o5-[DATA EXPUNGED]
Results: No, we are not going to bring SCP-XXXX to SCP-610. Last thing we need is for SCP-610 to be flying around and hit some animal and have another outbreak. It's a stupid idea and we don't want to lose this one to that abomination. I mean… It seems like a good idea. No it is not and whoever wrote this, you are no longer allowed to edit documents. probably Dr. Bright.not like he's allowed to anyways.
