Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 5x5x5m room connected to a 3x3x3m sound isolated chamber at any time. No verbal contact is allowed with the specimen, unless given authorization by a Foundation Senior.

The room must accommodate a Foundation issued device that allows the entity voice communication with a Class-D personnel, decor mimicking the SCP’s previous habitat and a small feeding bowl filled with fresh hay. The Class-D personnel must have constant contact with SCP-XXXX through the device. Failing to provide personnel to operate the V.C.D¹ will result in a cognitohazardous breach.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a Caucasian male between the age of ██ and ██ . The specimen originates from Eastern Europe, [DATA EXPUNGED], although no other data is currently present about his past. The creature consists of a slim body, approximately ███ cm tall, asymmetrical face, which appears to be in a constant state of simpering.

If the specimen is unable to have verbal communication with a sentient being, it emits a high pitched wail which when heard by a subject causes an urge to interact with the entity. No known sound isolating method has been proven to dampen the wail. When SCP-XXXX is being observed, the subject undergoes a brief state of full body paralysis before the last step of the Z-12 effect begins to manifest.

Z-12 Effect progression:
1) The victim experiences auditory anomalies such as whispering and disembodied voices.

2) A strong urge to interact with the entity begins to manifest.

3) Hallucinations of a black rabbit, also referred to as SCP-XXXX-2(Presumed to be an Eastern European breed)occur.

+ Behaviour and side effects

• The rabbit displays normal behavioural patterns for up to 8 hours at which point it begins to exhibit signs of hunger. Upon feeding the rabbit, a spike in endorphin levels has been detected in majority of test subjects bodies.

• If the rabbit is not fed in the span of 2 hours it develops aggressive behavior including attacking test subjects for sustenance and occasionally allotriophagia².

• In the case of SCP-XXXX-2 being harmed, the subject immediately undergoes the effects of the last step in the process.

4)The severity of the subject’s hallucinations drastically increases, causing insomnia. Sightings of floating incorporeal hands are common. The subject’s skin develops a thin white layer. Upon further testing unnaturally low levels of melanin were observed in test subjects.

5)The victim contacts SCP-XXXX via the nearest voice communication device. During a 7-day period the subject (Now referred to as SCP-XXXX-3) undergoes drastic body transformations, resembling SCP-XXXX’s appearance. After completion of the transformation SCP-XXXX-2 emits a scream measuring at 187 dB, killing itself in the process.

+ Keeping the subject confined test results

• Tests supervised by Dr. Trazdim have shown mixed results. In 8 cases the test subjects were found dead in containment with scratch marks on the door, and lacerations around the temporal and parietal region of the skull.

• In 6 cases the subjects were found mostly unresponsive on the ground, with identical scratch marks left on the door. After 4 weeks all subjects were diagnosed with PVS.³

• In 1 case, subject D-4R52 survived. After recovery he was interviewed by Dr. Trazdim.

Dr. Trazdim: Have you had any hallucinations since your recovery ?

D-4R52: (Looks visibly distressed) Only once .. please I don't want to think about it.

Dr. Trazdim: What was it ?

D-4R52: I..I.. please…

Dr. Trazdim: Go ahead, you are safe.

D-4R52:(Starts shaking)The hands .. started choking me and the voice…

Dr. Trazdim: Did it say anything ?

D-4R52: It did.

Dr. Trazdim: Well go on then ,what did it say ?

D-4R52: (Pause) To free..

D-4R52: My… (Subject starts screaming while sitting in the corner of the room)

Dr. Trazdim: D-4R52! Free what ?!

D-4R52: (No response)

Dr. Trazdim: Dammit ! I guess we will continue another day.

Dr. Trazdim research notes: After the first interview the subject didn't regain composure until the use of amnestics . Further testing resulted in D-4R52 exhibiting similar behaviour. It may still be possible to gain additional information of what transpired .
