Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be left in a room with concrete walls and no windows, at least three meter by three meter is required, although more is acceptable. SCP-XXXX is left on some tracks which are blocked with concrete bumpers, thus SCP-XXXX is unable to leave the small containment. A barrier is built around SCP-XXXX, members of the facility are advised not to pass it in case of sudden movement.
SCP-XXXX is to monitored at all times via security camera, mostly so any movement can be noted, and if any patterns can be found. Cameras are set all over the room SCP-XXXX is based in, so any damage to the bumpers can be seen. If any damage is noted, staff must restrain SCP-XXXX by holding it still while damage to the bumpers are repaired. In case of power outages or camera malfunctions, guards and a doctor are stationed in SCP-XXXX’s room so they can still monitor it.
Any member of the facility with Class 1 Security Clearance is permitted to enter the room holding SCP-XXXX when studies are not taking place. However, due to people often studying SCP-XXXX, entry is not allowed often.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 7.5” scale replica of a 0-4-0 saddle tank locomotive designed by H.K. Porter. However, SCP-XXXX lacks any builder’s plate or other information to describe it’s origins. SCP-XXXX has an unlined black livery without any numbers or lettering on them. SCP-XXXX was taken from a miniature railway in [REDACTED] during the line’s after hours. Class-A amnestics were given to all staff on site at the time.
SCP-XXXX had been reported to begin to run off without a driver, even if it’s oil-fueled fire had not been lit. Whilst never going far, SCP-XXXX was considered dangerous when it managed to collide with a nearby locomotive, injuring it’s driver. This was when SCP-XXXX was put into storage by the railway, and it was taken by the Foundation soon after.
SCP-XXXX’s sentience is currently a mystery, no member of the foundation has been able to interact with SCP-XXXX, the only interaction that has been noted is when Dr. [REDACTED] noted SCP-XXXX moving slightly whilst she studied it, but nothing else was able to be found out from this. No more interactions with Dr. [REDACTED] or any other staff member have been noted. SCP-XXXX seems to understand the presence of others around it, as security cameras and reports from security guards protecting SCP-XXXX’s chamber have recorded large clanging sounds as it attempts to break free, damaging the steel barriers and SCP-XXXX’s knuckle couplings in the process.
There are no known triggers for SCP-XXXX’s movement, many different methods have been tried. Besides the slight movement around Dr. [REDACTED], which may of been coincidental, nothing has been noted about the trigger of SCP-XXXX and it’s sentience, besides being in solitude.
