Special Containment Procedures: The ants being more primitive, should be unable to kill a person. They should be able to roam and go wherever they like, but normally not stray too far from the nest. If they are able to get inside of the structures built at site ###, food should be kept out of their reach to prevent them from attracting more of them.

Description: SCP-500# is a gigantic colony of sentient ants appearing to belong to several different species, it is kept at site ### and is supplied with with plenty of food and water. The ants seem to be in a civilized age, they are able to use tools, make fire, build structures, farm both plants and animals, speak languages, read, write, and have a complex society similar to one of an ancient civilization (ex. ancient Egypt). The species of ant seems to affect how high they are born into, and how high they rank in their colon, but this has changed over time. The species of ant that the queen belongs to has also changed with the rise and fall of some of the previous monarchs. The queen isn't the only egg laying female, it seems that all the ants in the colony can reproduce, there is a large amount of males in the colony because of this. They have tried multiple times to communicate with our operatives, and we have tried to communicate with them, but so far all attempts have failed.
