Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a cryogenically frozen state (frozen at -28Cº) within a reinforced steel container approximately 20cm in diameter. Specimens of SCP-XXXX are kept in glass test tubes, filled with [REDACTED], which keeps the organism alive and does not freeze in the extreme temperature. This container is located in a 10m x 10m x 10m room. SCP-XXXX is located at [REDACTED], in a separate underground facility barred behind three 12cm blast doors, all of which have different biometric scanning systems registered to only the highest researchers and O5 members.
No one, no matter any circumstance, is to ever release SCP-XXXX from its cryogenic state. Doing so will result in the immediate extermination of the person who did so, who is referred to as SCP-XXXX-X, when exposed. If containment is breached, and the cryogenic state broken, then the cell will be restricted to any human, due to SCP-XXXX's unknown infectious powers.
In case of outbreak, no single plan can be devised. The devastation brought by SCP-XXXX can mean destruction of entire populations, therefore, if an outbreak occurs, the SCP Foundation will be required to dedicate every resource it has to exterminating SCP-XXXX, until it has been exterminated. The danger SCP-XXXX brings to human existence is unimaginable.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an extremely infectious, microscopic parasite, that can control its hosts through cognitive manipulation in its fourth Infectious Stage. Its ability to infect seemingly any human anywhere has baffled the Foundation's top researchers. It is known to have been able to infect entire populations in mere minutes, without any transmission between infected and healthy. The range of devastation it can cause is unimaginable. As said, the parasite when latched onto the host's brain, can begin a process of gaining control of the host. The extent of the SCP-XXXX's control over the human body ranges from basic motor functions, to even speech. It has been noted, that in the later stages of SCP-XXXX's infection, the parasite can gain total control, and command the host to look, walk, and act like a healthy human. Ways to directly prevent infection are not yet known, however SCP-XXXX must be in physical reach of the human it wants to infect, so being in a room clear of infection will prevent infection as long as that room is sealed.
SCP-XXXX was first discovered in [DATA EXPUNGED], in the remote village of ████. SCP-XXXX had unleashed its full power on the village when MTF Beta-7 investigated the village. All occupants of ███ had been exterminated, with Beta-7 having to retreat until further notice. The infectious capabilities of SCP-XXXX caught Beta-7 off guard to say the least, however, a week later, a professional force was assembled to quarantine the area. The 20km radius around the village has been cut off from civilian and Foundation personnel. The containment of SCP-XXXX was achieved by recovering infected individuals, which incidentally led to thirty infections in Site-██. Over the course of the two month long containment process, the Foundation had lost two-hundred members to SCP-XXXX.
Many observations of SCP-XXXX's infection process has led to the creation of stages. These stages represent the somewhat lengthy process of gaining total control over the human body.
Infectious Stages: These first stages are when the parasite has entered the host's body. In these stages, SCP-XXXX can infect any number of humans it can reach.
Stage 1 Hibernation- The parasite has entered the body, and makes it way to the brain to begin gaining control over the host.
Stage 2 Pathogenic- The host, who is referred to as SCP-XXXX-X, will begin to experience symptoms. This stage can begin at least ten minutes after Stage 1, but the start of Stage 2 can take as long as five hours. Stage 2 has been initiated when SCP-XXXX-X experiences a traumatic migraine, that will most likely, make SCP-XXXX-X collapse to the ground in pain. After two minutes of pain, SCP-XXXX-X will enter a near-dead state. Heart rates have been recorded to be at most 10 BPM, and breathing kept at a minimum. The brain functions and activity of SCP-XXXX-X is that of brain dead patients.
Stage 3 Manipulatory- The beginning of Stage 3 can occur two hours after the start of Stage 2. Stage 3 initiates when SCP-XXXX-X will suddenly go back to a nominal heart rate, and increased brain function. SCP-XXXX-X will begin to systematically move its muscles in top-down order. It will move its neck muscles first, then jaw. Next, it will move its torso. Then SCP-XXXX-X will violently flail its arms and legs twice. This stage is theorized to be SCP-XXXX's consolidation of control over the human body. It is testing the extent of its control over SCP-XXXX-X. In this stage, SCP-XXXX-X can wake up from its near-dead state, and begin to show signs of communicative functions. SCP-XXXX-X can start mumbling syllables, which will evolve after a few minutes into labored words. Any word said from SCP-XXXX-X is not the manifest of SCP-XXXX-X, rather it is SCP-XXXX communicating through SCP-XXXX-X.
Stage 4 Autonomous- There is not a clear start for Stage 4. It is said however, that Stage 4 starts whenever SCP-XXXX-X "acts normally", which of course is open to interpretation. SCP-XXXX-X "acting normally" usually refers to it being able to effortlessly move and speak, like a normal human. In this stage, SCP-XXXX has gained total control over SCP-XXXX-X.
Non-Infectious Stages: During these stages, SCP-XXXX-X can no longer cause infection. If anyone else entered the room it was in, then they would not get infected by SCP-XXXX-X. In these stages, the parasite has become sentient, and can now use SCP-XXXX-X to defend itself, and to accomplish [REDACTED], as stated in.
Stage N1 Physical- At Stage N1, SCP-XXXX-X will become aggressive towards anyone that it sees. SCP-XXXX-X can utilize basic movements, such as punching, kicking, and biting. It should be noted that SCP-XXXX-X does not have any strategic sense on this stage. It will wander mindlessly without any direction, and attack any human it sees.
Stage N2 Strategic- SCP-XXXX-X can now use strategic thinking. It will more cleverly go after what it is attacking, such as using flanking maneuvers, or hiding. SCP-XXXX-X will also attack with intention. Wounding or maiming one person, to lure in others to attack them. Again, it should be noted that every action is SCP-XXXX using SCP-XXXX-X.
Stage N3 Basic Mechanical- SCP-XXXX-X will be able to use firearms, and basic machines. It will also use melee equipment, such as a knife or steel bar. This is the first stage where SCP-XXXX's intelligence begins to appear increasingly more sentient.
Stage N4 Advanced Mechanical- SCP-XXXX-X will be able to, albeit recklessly, drive cars and other vehicles. It will also be able to operate more complex weaponry, such as correctly using sniper rifles, machine guns, and rocket launchers. This is also the most lethal, and stable, stage of infection. SCP-XXXX-X will show no difference between infected and healthy, meaning it can walk, talk, and think flawlessly. SCP-XXXX-X is also not just a mindless husk. It is smart, and resourceful, using clever tactics to ensure its survival and goal.

Stage H1 [STAGE NAME RESTRICTED]- SCP-XXXX will grow within SCP-XXXX-X, to an assumed size of ██cm, and [DATA RESTRICTED]. Is should be assumed that SCP-XXXX-X is completely dead without SCP-XXXX controlling it. SCP-XXXX is also theorized to eat the ████ of SCP-XXXX-X for food and nutrients, hence why SCP-XXXX-X is dead without the parasite.
Stage H2 [STAGE NAME RESTRICTED]- SCP-XXXX will move back into SCP-XXXX-X and use it to transport itself to a strategic location for Stage H3. Despite SCP-XXXX-X having no ████, it still remains to be completely stable and capable of carrying out SCP-XXXX's mission.
Stage H3 [STAGE NAME RESTRICTED]- When a location has been found, SCP-XXXX will congregate with other parasites and form a ██████. [DATA EXPUNGED]
