Special containment Procedures:
Harvested instances of SCP-5215 are to be held in a Standard cryogenic containment unit on site- and to be monitored at all times by staff members. only twenty four (24) instances of SCP-5215 must be available by cultivating at all time and must be cared of by professional foundation cultivators.
Additional instances of SCP-5215 could be incinerated or used for testing on D-class personnel (by archiving the results) with a permission from head researcher Dr. tam (also known as SCP-5215 in the foundation's archives) how is the apparent creator of SCP-5215 and has the most knowledge about the anomaly. (for more information about SCP-5215, see file number [DATA EXPUNGED])

Description:
SCP-5215 appears to be an unknown specimen from the Cucumis Melo family -a cantaloupe- from an unknown origin found inside a metallic containment box. SCP-5215 seems to have a brain-like pattern on it's skin and an unusual red colour. so far, instances of SCP-5215 didn't show any signs of aging or rotting, however, it did show signs of developing fungus on its surface without rotting itself. which is only natural due to the nature the anomaly grows in.
SCP-5215 was obtained alongside SCP-5215-1 during a raid on a spot of interest thought to be a meeting point for the GOI the chaos insurgency conducted by agent █████ who was ordered to retrieve SCP-5215-1.
SCP-5215-1 is a diary containing 25 pages of awkwardly written English seemingly noting the progress of Dr. tam while he is working on developing SCP-5215 for the chaos insurgency as an effort to create a new weapon. after further investigations, Dr. tam claimed that this diary is indeed his after he escaped from the insurgency and interrogated by foundation personnel.
SCP-5215's anomalous effects were not known at the beginning, but after studying SCP-5215 and SCP-5215-1, a lot was discovered about the anomaly. Apparently, according to the contents of SCP-5215-1, SCP-5215 is a cantaloupe specimen from one of many dimensions Dr. tam went to and was chosen for it's excellent environment for an extra dimensional virus engineered from its base form by Dr. tam. (for more information about SCP-5215-1, see addendum 5215-C)
SCP-5215's anomalous effects are discovered to manifest in it's consumers as a form of extrasensory perception -ESP-, the researchers named this stage "stage A". however, the abilities the consumer gets seems to be random or unspecified, so far, the recorded and confirmed abilities by testing are:-
- Telekinesis:- the ability to manipulate or move objects using brain waves. (seen in test 5215-T1)
- geokinesis:- the ability to manipulate or move minerals or rock formations using brain waves. (seen in test 5215-T2)
- pyrokinesis:- the ability to manipulate fire using brain waves. (seen in test 5215-T3)
- telepathy:-the ability to send and read thoughts using brain waves. (seen in test 5215-T4)
- cryokinesis:-the ability to freeze or lower the temperature of objects using brain waves.(seen in test 5215-T5)
- omni psychic perfection:- the ability to have every psychic ability (this is name is give by a subject after ingesting an entire instance of SCP-5215 claiming that he can do anything, however, this ability was not fully studied since the subject created a blast which killed him in the process). (seen in accident 5215-T6)
Subjects who consumes SCP-5215 go through four stages:-
- stage A:- The subject consumes SCP-5215 and obtains a psychic power.
- stage B:- The subject dies due to a brain related injuries or causes. (the cause of this is still up for debate, however, Dr. tam claims that SCP-5215 is a prototype of some kind and will always be due to Dr. tam leaving the project claiming "It net ma'n specialty, anyroads")
- stage C: -the subject starts to rapidly decompose and an instance of SCP-5215 will start to grow out of the subject's stomach. subject also starts losing nutrients and fats seeming absorbed by the anomaly
- stage D: -after a week, three (3) instances will become fully grown and the subject's body will resemble a mummy.
Addendum: 5215-A
It appears that a subject who consumed an instance of SCP-5215 or at least a piece of it would also die under unknown circumstances similar to how it gives its consumer a random psychic power. The means of how the virus inside SCP-5215 is able to determine which power it should give to the consumer or how the subject will die is still unknown and up for debate.
When SCP-5215 was asked about SCP-5215 and its origin, he gave very little in terms of contexts with the excuse that he still wants to “trust” the foundation and if that he told the foundation about it, it won’t be important anyways because neither him nor the foundation can “reach it”.
A total of six (6) tests have bean conducted on SCP-5215 to try to know if SCP-5215 had any further anomalous effects. Five of them were helpful to the research but the last test have been classed as an accident due to the damage done during the test which killed █ and injured ██.
(-Note: access to the test logs of SCP-5215 require 2 level 3 clearance from O5-█ and O5-█ for security purposes. Since SCP-5215 was discovered in the hands of the GOI the chaos insurgency, it would be likely that they may attempt to retrieve it by any method possible.)

Test-5215-T1 - 20/10/2014
Subject:D-15996, male,25 years of age, average physique, charged for [DATA EXPUNGED] and has atheistic views on the world and society.
Procedure:Subject is ordered to consume a slice of SCP-5215, try to describe the taste and report any unusual sensations.
Results:After D-15996 consumed the SCP-5215 slice, subject reported a sweet and sour taste with a hint of a metallic taste in it. Subject seemed to pause for a second before quickly becoming impatient and asking for his return to his cell to continue meditating although the subject didn’t meditate before throughout his stay in the foundation’s custody. After 10 minutes, subject became angry and and started throwing the equipments inside the testing chamber using what seems to be telekinesis. Subject is sadaded and sent back to his cell.
Analysis:-Note by Dr. █████:”it seems like that SCP-5215 is capable of passing on a some kind of telekinesis to its eater. But to confirm that, we need some testings first and if it’s true. I just hope the insurgency didn’t have any of it…quite literally. Because this test is made to understand the properties of SCP-5215, it’s not technically over yet. Let’s hope for the best…damn, i can't believe this bastard just pulled a table fixed to the floor by steel bolts out.”
The following are an interview and audio logs which took place after the recovery of D-15996 and the events which acquired afterward.
Interviewed: D-15996.
Interviewer: Researcher Alex.
Foreword: This interview is conducted to ask D-15996 some questions to analysis any changes.

Researcher Alex: “D-15996?”
D-15996: “The fuck do you want?”
Researcher Alex: “now now, i’m here to ask you some questions, that’s all. I don’t want to be this person but if you didn’t comply the-”
D-15996: ”they will shot me. I know. Just let get this over with.”
Researcher Alex: ”right, i’m glad you know. Now, what you could tell me about ████.”
D-15996: “what did you do to her?, you better get your hands of her.”
Researcher Alex: “D-15996 please calm down, it’s just a question. i can assure you that she is safe. We are just asking if you still know her.”
D-15996: “of course i know her. She is my [DATA EXPUNGED].”
Researcher Alex: “well, i’m glad you still know her. Next question, when did you get your psychic powers?”
D-15996: “when i was 15, i knew that my mind and spirit can ascend to perfection and over come matter thanks to a site i read on the internet which is made by professionals.”
Researcher Alex: “interesting…and who are these ‘professionals’?”
D-15996: “pfft…i don’t fucking know. That was like what…11 years ago maybe? I do remember that there was one who had the same name as me. Can’t remember the rest though. And if you are wondering why i can’t remember their names, that is because since you understand the basics, you should learn the rest on your own to ‘develop your own style’ they said. And since i’m doing this for a long time, i can’t really remember.”
Researcher Alex: “wow…11 years?!. That is great but what if i proved otherwise?”
D-15996: “[subject became visibly agitated] W-what?, how?”
Researcher Alex: “ here, i have evidence of you saying that you don’t believe in any spiritual existence.”
D-15996: “n-n-no that can’t be true. I-i-i always have been a believer.”
researcher Alex: “[plays audio clip] we will see.”
audio clip: “i’m not a moron, humans are here to evolve and develop not to fucking
pray to there ‘lord and savor’. There are no spirits, no angels, no devils and gods so get the-[stops clip]”
Researcher Alex: “what are your comments on this?”
Subject started to show signs of a mental breakdown.
D-15996: “i…no..no no, that is not me. This…this is false. You all are wrong. [shouts in pain while holding his head) you…”
Researcher Alex: “[talking to earpiece] guys, i need help here. [to D-15996] D-15996, please try to calm down.”
D-15996: ”[subject started to twitch and sheck and his nose started bleeding] you are going to pay”
subject threw researcher alex with his telekinesis to the cell wall. It was later discovered hat his shoulder got dislocated.
Researcher Alex: “ugh..shit.”
Dr. █████: “[to guards]no, wait. We still need more. Sedate him.”
D-15996: “[sobbing] i-i don’t know wha-… uhm”
subject sedated successfully.
<End Log>Closing Statement: It seems that SCP-5215 is capable of giving its consumer elaborate false memories about the origin of the consumer’s newly formed powers. Upon speculations, it seems that the virus inside SCP-5215 does this in order to keep itself hidden from treatment by it’s consumer.As for the nosebleed, it has been agreed upon that it might be just a simple brainwave overload, a common psychic side effect which occurs when a psychic is overwhelmed with information or overuses its ability.
