Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a secure, glass capsule under 24/7 CCTV surveillance. Class-D Maintenance Personnel are to enter the container on a weekly basis to inspect the capsule for cracks, however no more than one (1) should ever be within a five (5) meter radius of SCP-XXXX. No other personnel should enter within a five (5) meter radius of SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to an ornately carved stone, measuring approximately ten (10) centimeters in diameter. There appears to be writing carved into the stone, however it is in an unnkown language. SCP-XXXX was discovered on ██/██/19██, and Foundation personnel were immediately called upon to secure the stone. Upon arrival, personnel reported feeling dizziness within the first minute of being in the presence of SCP-XXXX. Within five (5) minutes of exposure, personnel reported seeing apparitions of grotesque monsters. Within ten (10) minutes of exposure, personnel were driven to insanity, and began attacking one another. It is unknown what caused this behavior. Upon retrieval of SCP-XXXX, Class-D Maintenance Personnel assigned with inspecting the container reported hearing voices in their mind, instructing them to commit horrible acts. It is this that is believed to have caused the psychotic episodes in the Foundation personnel sent to retrieve the stone.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX has been referenced by indigenous tribes in the ██████ area as the "Whispering Stone." It is assumed that similar effects were experienced by members of those tribes.
