Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5724 is to be stored in a refrigerated, low maintenance warehouse in cardboard shipping boxes, stacked on standard wooden storage pallets no taller than 4 boxes high and wrapped in industry standard plastic storage wrapping. If any new batches of SCP-5724 are discovered, they are to be immediately recovered under pretenses of being recalled for various food borne illnesses.

Description: SCP-5724 is a brand of chocolate bars weighing 8 oz. per bar in 8 known flavours labeled 5724- 1-8 respectively. Each bar is wrapped in generic silver, metallic foil and covered in a thin cardboard label. The labels include a logo for an unknown company and some variation of “Dr. Wonderbar’s Chocolate Extravaganza” as well as differing colors per known flavour.

Known flavours include:

  • Milk Chocolate
  • Dark Chocolate
  • Chocolate Toffee Supreme
  • Nutter Butter Chocolate Crunch
  • Sea-Salt and Caramel Ooze
  • Fruit-stravaganza
  • Orange Creamsicle
  • Chocolate Macchiato

Upon inspection, bars do not appear to have anomalous properties and contain industry standard, non-anomalous ingredients. However when ingested, over the next 24 hours various objects and chemicals begin to manifest within the subject’s stomach.

Medical staff examining the subjects have found razor blades, nails, arsenic in highly lethal amounts, ███████, silicone gel, rat poison, gasoline and glass shards. Each substance found within the body have been observed in lethal quantities and do not correlate to any one flavour.
Attempts to remove the objects or chemicals from the subject have been proven unsuccessful as more of the object or chemical reappeared in the same amount that was removed. Deaths have been observed to happen within the rest of the 24 hour period from when the objects or chemicals manifested, usually killing them in a time correlating to the lethality of the object or chemical.

Recovery: The first instance of SCP-5724 was recovered from a local grocery store in █████ Virginia on ██/██/20██ after a local news station reported several strange deaths of mainly children. Incidents of the victims dying from complications happened roughly 24 hours after ingestion of the chocolate. Autopsies of the victims revealed various substances or physical objects present in their stomachs.

Upon interviewing ███ █████, the owner of the grocery store where SCP-5724 was recovered, he explained how the bars appeared on his shelves with their UPCs already entered into his system and shipping receipt on his desk. None of his employees knew who ordered the confectionaries.

To date, twenty pallets of chocolate have been recovered from various grocers around several different countries in North America and Europe.
