Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard containment chamber. The containment chamber is to be kept dark at all times. No one is to enter the containment chamber unless permitted by level 4 personnel or higher under any circumstances. Anyone having entered the containment chamber is to be moved into a standard humanoid containment chamber and must undergo a mental health analysis. If SCP-XXXX’s effects are found to be present, the subject is to be terminated.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a hostile malevolent entity of unknown origin. SCP-XXXX cannot be viewed, heard, or touched by any non-organic object. SCP-XXXX’s anomaly manifests when a human sees the entity, comes within 10 meters of the entity, or is touched by another person who is under SCP-XXXX’s effects. Once any of these occur the subject will enter a state of panic and will attempt to get away from SCP-XXXX or the subject under the effects of SCP-XXXX, however once the subject has reached this stage it is impossible by any known means to prevent progression. 15 minutes after exposure the subject will become paralyzed apart from their eyes which move erratically. At this point SCP-XXXX will begin to attack the subjects mind by, destroying, implanting, and twisting the memories of the subject. This continues from anywhere between 20 minutes and 3 hours. After this phase the subject will either have suffered brain death, lost higher brain function, gone completely insane, or ████████████████████████████ ████████. Nothing has proven effective at reversing these effects.

Request: Permission to test with SCP-XXXX in the hopes of better understanding its effects and researching a possible cure to said effects.

Status: Accepted.

Conditions: Overseer Council must receive bi-weekly reports on progress. If you fail to send a report or if the report shows no useful data you will be shut down.

Test 1 - SCP-XXXX

Subject: One common chimpanzee(Pan Troglodytes)

Procedure: Subject placed inside SCP-XXXX's containment chamber and sealed inside. Subject removed after 2 hours of exposure to SCP-XXXX.

Results: Subject doesn't react to the presence of SCP-XXXX and wanders aimlessly around the containment chamber until test concludes.

Analysis: Subject shows no physical or phycological abnormalities. SCP-XXXX seems to only effect human subjects.

+ Addendum 2: Test 2

Test 2 - SCP-XXXX

Subject: D-75823 and D-23485

Procedure: D-75823, hereby referred to as subject-1, instructed to enter SCP-XXXX's containment chamber. Door sealed behind subject. subject removed after 30 minutes of exposure by D-23485, hereby referred to as subject-2.

Results: Upon entering the containment chamber subject-1 expresses extreme anxiety and repeatedly requests to leave the chamber. These requests are denied. After 10 minutes inside the chamber subject-1 begins to panic and starts trying to break down the containment chamber door. After 15 minutes subject-1 ceases movement apart from their eyes which move erratically. After 30 minutes subject-1 is retrieved by subject-2. Subject-1 and subject-2 are quarantined.

Analysis: Subject-1 expired due to a stroke 48 hours after exposure to SCP-XXXX. Amnestics proved ineffective at reversing SCP-XXXX's effects on Subject-1. Subject-2 ███████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████. More tests required to establish the cause of Subject-2's behavior.

Report: SCP-XXXX has shown to not effect non human entities. Two class-D's are currently under study for new methods of reversing the effects of SCP-XXXX.
