Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 91 cm by 121 cm cell. The objects themeselves are to be contained in a reinforced glass container, 5 cm by 5 cm, located in the center of the cell. This container will be locked shut by a high security steel lock. Due to the object's safe satus, it is unnessessary to be guarded unless under testing. SCP-XXXX is only to be allowed access by level 2 personelle and higher.

Description: SCP-XXXX consists of two glass eyes, for further notice labeled as SCP-XXXX-a and SCP-XXXX-b. SCP-XXXX-a and SCP-XXXX-b are both glass eyes, the only visual difference being their color. SCP-XXXX-a exhibits a vibrant blue iris and faint blue veins painted onto it's surface. SCP-XXXX-b is similar, only that it is an equally vibrant orange.

Besides this pigment, SCP-XXXX-a and SCP-XXXX-b both appear to be normal glass eyes, even found fully prepared to be inserted into the eyesocket of an adult human being. Despite this, they exhibit unnexplainable anomolous properties.

When inserted into the eyesocket of any human being, both SCP-XXXX-a and SCP-XXXX-b will, by some means, not only give the subject full sight but sight into other demensions.

Because these properties can only be accessed by removing the eyes of any subject being tested on and teaching said subject to adapt to this blindness before being tested on, it is difficult to test SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties.

Even furthering this difficulty is the subjects most often unhelpful and unsatifactory reaction to the witnessing of the demensions, especially both at the same time. When any subject is prepared and have adapted well to the removal of thier sight, they go through a thorough mental examination. If they pass as entirely sane, the glass eyes are inserted into the subjects eyesockets.

As of yet, all subjects who passed the examination have showed the same reaction to SCP-XXXX's anomalous abilities; inluding thrashing, screaming, and uncontrollable convulsions in the chest and lower abdomen.

Afterwards, it is difficult to retrieve answers from the subjects due to forms of PTSD and other mental disorders, varying from subject to subject but often sveere anxiety disorders and depression. What little we know includes:

SCP-XXXX-a

  • The subjects all speak vaugely of some sort of entity doing some sort of action in front of them. Most often standing stationary, staring at the subject.
  • Many subjects compared their expierence to drowning.
  • All subjects say somehting along the lines of "They see me." and refuse to explain, despite any praise or voilence attempting to convince them otherwise.
  • Seem to choke, as if water is trapped in their lungs. None such water exists, despite this.

SCP-XXXX-b

  • All subject that experienced SCP-XXXX-b's anomalous properties said something along the lines of "They see us." Similarly to SCP-XXXX-a, they refuse to explain. Unlike SCP-XXXX-a, though, this phrase is often repeated over an over. Often show signs of extreme heat, sweating eccessively, etc.
  • Many subjects compared their experience to falling.
  • All subjects reported a burning sensation.
  • Similarly to SCP-XXXX-a, they report some sort of entiy staring down at them.

Both objects were found by an elderly woman's dog on ██-█-2009. It approached a spot of dirt on the side of the sidewalk and began showing signs of extreme aggression towards it. In an attempt to settle the dog, the woman approached the spot of dirt and found, poorly buried, SCP-XXXX.

A team was dispatched and amnestics were provided.
