Item #: SCP-4858

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures

SCP-4858 is to be placed in a forest terrarium, away from all sound and audio disturbance. Every three weeks or so SCP-4858 has to have it's water replaced, and it's terrarium cleaned and checked for cracks, after which all personnel who were inside of the terrarium must have their memetic stability checked.

Description:

SCP-4858 is mostly a docile creature, slightly resembling a ███████ bear. SCP-4858 is seemingly blind, as for it keeps smashing into the terrarium walls. The object may seem docile but if it ever hears sound (actually, being around it at all can be dangerous.) it will cause a memetic disturbance in the atmosphere. SCP-4858's memetic abilities can cause the following

  • Amnesia
  • Mental diseases
  • Sudden emotional states
  • Confusion
  • Temporal mental disabilities

It is these reasons why it is advised that complete silence during checks for cracks and cleaning.

Addendum:
SCP-4858 is also known to show hostility to other animals. The reason is currently unknown to the foundation.
