Special Containment Proceedures: Keep in an airtight steel cube, two meters in all dimensions, with 1m walls, making the entire cell assembly 4 meters in all dimensions. Line all edges inside the cube with a platinum-lead alloy. The containment cell must constantly be blasted with microwaves to hinder SCP-n from escaping.
Description: SCP-n is a delirious human, presumably male, with a passion for science. It does not seem to require food or water, as anything eaten by SCP-n will fall through it, usually dematerializing after falling through. Refer to Addendum 1 for what is known about SCP-n’s history. SCP-n displays interesting abilities, most common being randomly “glitching” out. This allows it to breifly pass through any type of matter. The glitches do not seem to be intentionally caused by SCP-n, however, it has been shown that stress and fear cause the glitches to occur more frequently. SCP-n is fully aware of what it can do while glitched and has used this ability to breach containment ██ times.
Should SCP-n breach containment, recontainment teams, equipped with special microwave emitters will need to be deployed. They are to corner and subdue SCP-n until the containment cell can be fixed. SCP-n will not hesitate to kill, usually by [DATA EXPUNGED], or by using its assaillant’s weapon against them. Because of this, and because normal bullets are ineffective at harming, or even scaring, SCP-n, guards and recontainment teams are not to use any firearm against SCP-n.
**Under no circumstances can SCP-n be allowed near any device that uses components smaller than a human cell (like a quantum computer, or any supercomputer), as SCP-n’s glitched nature will comepletly, and usually irreversibly, derail the object’s functions.*
If SCP-n’s glitches stop while it is inside solid matter, its body will always “replace” whatever matter it’s overlapping with. Any matter overlapping air pockets insinde SCP-n’s body (such as the area inside its lungs) will also be replaced.
It was discovered by the Foundation when they became aware that a man who was being locked up at a mental asylum had managed to escape from his cell over 30 times, even though it was under constant video and guard surveillance. Two recuperation teams were dispatched, but they were unable to detain, or even hit, SCP-n. On the █th attempt, it was noticed that SCP-n could sense lead. It also disliked microwaves, screeching when one came into its vicinity. These two observations ultimately led to SCP-n’s containment.
From what Dr.██████ has been able to extract from it, SCP-n was a scientist who built a particle accelerator large enough to fit a telephone pole. During a routine checkup, every single safety malfunctioned for an unknown reason and ███ █████ particles were fired. The man was hit by about 8█% of the particles and fell unconscious. After this, not too much is known about what happened to SCP-n, but it is assumed that it fell into insanity.
