Special Containment Procedures: SCP XXXX is to be contained in a small ten (10) metres by ten (10) metres concrete cell with a ceiling of no more than six (6) metres in height. Due to the placating nature of the presence of ropes and other climbing equipment, several items similar are to be placed within the cell. The cell must remain completely bare at all times as to not give SCP-XXXX points of ambush.
Description: SCP XXXX is a small, primate like entity standing one metre in height when standing upright though it typically moves on all fours.. It has arms that are 0.5 metres in length with opposable thumbs and dexterous, thin fingers that are adept at plucking out its food. All of the organism's limbs share this dextrosity and strength and are used by it to swing and climb with proficiency.
The entity is completely hairless and is permanently covered in a light coating of sweat caused by it’s pores overproducing when it remains still. Other notable features include the organism’'s eyes and mouth. The former are wide but shallow empty sockets and the latter are similarly wide, with sharpened canines and blunt,small incisors and molars.
The entity was discovered in REDACTED by expeditionary medics on the island of REDACTED surrounded by a settlement of natives to the island that the creature had fed upon. These medics were not found until several years later, in REDACTED, when the foundation arrived to contain the organism.
To the naked eye, the organism is completely invisible and can only be viewed when “looked at” with closed eyes. However, for a brief period after it has fed the invisibility fades slightly leaving a hazy afterimage upon viewing. Although the entity lives in total darkness, it is still an effectual hunter and locates food through a system of complex echo-location which is superficially similar to what is used by a bat but appears to be much more effective.
The organism feeds almost exclusively upon human eyeballs as it requires them to [DATA EXPUNGED] however it will settle for eyeballs procured from a cadaver if particularly hungry. Typically, when "hunting" for its own food, it will drop from above as to not give a victim time to react, wrap its legs around the victim's chest and insert its fingers into the victims eye sockets to pluck out the eyeballs themselves. It will then proceed to eat and [DATA EXPUNGED]. After the entity has fed it will return to a docile and occasionally playful state until it feels the need to feed again.
