Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 5m by 5m room on top of a thin pillow that resides on a wooden table. On the desk next to the pillow SCP-XXXX is to reside on, a leafy house plant is to be placed. Subjects testing SCP-XXXX will water the plant at the beginning of experimentation.
Only Doctor R.J. Briggs and the combined vote of Dr. R.J. Briggs' '3 Key Council' has the authority to change the containment procedures of SCP-XXXX until Dr. R.J. Briggs retires, or is mentally or physically unable to perform his role as SCP-XXXX's supervisor.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a smooth rock approximately 10cm in diameter with a height of roughly 7cm. SCP-XXXX has a smooth, dome-like shape with a singular smooth face. The surface of SCP-XXXX is a warm gray, except for a lens shaped depression on SCP-XXXX's dome side that has a deep blue hue. Inside the lens shaped depression, SCP-XXXX has a half circle shape pressed into the surface.
SCP-XXXX is reported to be conscious by all who enter within a 5m vicinity of SCP-XXXX despite a lack of conclusive evidence. Those who enter within a 5m radius of SCP-XXXX also report a calming feeling when around SCP-XXXX. Nearly all subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX feel a sense of familiarity with SCP-XXXX upon regaining sight SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX has shown regenerative capabilities. When damaged, SCP-XXXX's pieces will be drawn together until it reforms perfectly. The same subjects who show signs of familiarity to SCP-XXXX are made uncomfortable by harming SCP-XXXX.
Addendum: Further testing has revealed that the calming effects of SCP-XXXX changes with it's reported 'moods'. Those within a 5m radius of SCP-XXXX report a feeling of anxiety and mild agitation when picking up SCP-XXXX or handling it roughly. The presence of foliage and the addition of comfort is reported to improve SCP-XXXX's 'moods'. Containment procedure has been updated to accommodate.
