Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a standard secure locker at least 12m away from all other potentially dangerous object of any kind. SCP-XXXX is not to be moved without notifying security, and must stay out of 12m of any dangerous object of any kind.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 30cm tall 3D printed plastic cactus in a red 3D printed pot. "Giant Wedges are Sam", an anagram for "Gamers Against Weed", was painted in green on the side.

The object causes mild inconveniences to occur to anyone nearby. These incidents are usually harmless, however, can indirectly result in something much more dangerous. They were discovered during recovery when the transport was: held in traffic for an abnormally long time, curbed twice, and ran low on gas before reaching the facility. Other Foundation observers noted that other vehicles were curbing more than usual.

Due to the the sheer amount of incidents caused, only a log of major or notable incidents is kept. refer to the Testing Logs and Incident Log for more information.

The Foundation became aware of the SCP-XXXX existence after the Foundation’s account on the GAW forums was messaged by a moderator. Agent R█████ was sent to investigate, and the object was recovered. The object was in plain view of the entry point, and had a note reading “For the Foundation”. Different from other GAW objects, SCP-XXXX can cause injuries and fatalities, although indirectly.

Subject: D-4781.
Items: One unsharpened number 2 pencil, one X-Acto KS pencil Sharpener.
Procedure: Subject was to sharpen the pencil in the same room as SCP-XXXX
Result: Graphite broke during first sharpening attempt, second attempt successful.

XXXX-2
Subject: D-4781.
Items: One number 2 pencil, One 8.5x11 standard copy paper.
Procedure: Subject was instructed to draw the Object from within 5.
Result: Subject drew the pot, began the trunk and ribs, then the pencil tip snapped.

Subject: D-4781,
Items: Three number 2 pencils, One 8.5x11 standard copy paper, CCTV monitor.
Procedure: Subject was placed in a room 20 meters away, and instructed to draw the Object from CCTV footage.
Result: Subject successfully drew the Object to the best of his artistic ability.

Subject: D-4781,
Items: Three number 2 pencils, One 8.5x11 standard copy paper.
Procedure: Was to walk from 20 meters towards the Object while drawing it, if something happened, subject was to mark the location of incident, return to 20m away, and walk towards the Object from a different angle.
Result: Walked 11.5m while drawing the object, then dropped the pencil. Subject then approached the Object from a 45 degree arc, when within 7m, the pencil tip snapped. Subject then approached the Object from a 45 degree arc, and arrived at the Object with no incident. Procedure repeated 5 more times. One more approach with no incident occurred. No incident took place outside of 10 meters.

Important: Maximum Incident Range appears to be 10 meters.

Subject: D-7298(Convicted getaway driver).
Item: One 2010 Toyota Camry
Procedure: Subject was to drive ten laps around the onsite speedway, with the Object on the dashboard.
Results: Subject drove 2 1/4 laps, then ran low on gas. Subject refueled and completed the course without incident.
Note: Maintenance staff did not refuel vehicle when transported to site. Object seems to amplify human error.

Item: One 2010 Toyota Camry
Procedure: Subject was to drive around the city and return within 20 minutes.
Results: Subject got stuck in traffic, drive lasted 27 minutes. One car crash, no fatalities.

Item: One [Brandname] 3D printer, one Mosaic Manufacturing Palette, original "Annoying Cactus" TinkerCAD file.
Procedure: A replica of the object was printed, it would be tested for anomalous properties.
Results: Replica did not possess anomalous properties.

Subject: D-2015
Item: AO-72
Procedure: Subject was to walk within 10 meters of SCP-XXXX for 10 minutes while wearing AO-72. If nothing happened during that time, experiment was to end.
Result: Subject walked around for 7 minutes 39 seconds before he tripped on his untied laces. Subject fell forward approx 0.3m before being jerked to an upright position at 1821m/s. Subjects died instantly due to several broken bones, organ ruptures, and hemorrhaging.

XXXX-MI-1
A car crashed into another car that had curbed and presumably braked out of panic. The curbing car was then pushed into a pedestrian, killing her. Both drivers were injured, but alive.

XXXX-MI-2
While being transported to a testing room, Dr. U████, one of the site's most cautious researchers, spilled her coffee onto SCP-2381's container's control console, resulting in the container beginning to unseal. Surrounding area was locked down and quarantined, and an override command was given from the Site Director's office, and the container was resealed. No samples got out of containment.
Dr. U████ was severely reprimanded. Any control panel or or items of similar nature pertaining to the containment of dangerous objects is to be water-proofed.

Personnel have began avoiding SCP-XXXX's containment room as, according to Asst. Researcher J████: "It seems like every fourth person trips and falls while walking past".
SCP-XXXX was relocated to the edge of the facility.

XXXX-MI-4
Dr. T████ attempted to pick it up and throw it at the wall. He grabbed the Object by its spines, and subsequently dropped it. He then attempted to smash it with the keyboard, buthe keyboard wire got caught around the desktop, making him miss. He then grabbed it by the pot and attempted to throw it at the ground. The Object landed on his foot, unharmed. After this incident, security intervened and restrained him.

Notes: While filing reports for tests XXXX-1 to -5, Dr. T████ reportedly became so fed up with the effects of SCP-XXXX that he attempted to destroy it. Object appears to have a sense of self preservation.

SCP-XXXX was to be buried and marked off 10 meters away from the main complex. After the burial, Agent R█████ realized a replica had been buried. This was attempted two more times, each resulting in the Object not being buried.
