Addendum-XXXX-1: The following are excerpts from multiple psychology sessions.
[translated from Spanish]
Dr. ████: Good evening Sr. Quixote.
SCP-XXXX-1-A: Good evening person in need. What quest will you ask of me today? Anymore
giants needing to be slayed?
Dr. ████: You have read Don Quixote I believe?
SCP-XXXX-1-A: Indeed I have as per my quest. Fascinating that my bravery has been recorded
down for all to read.
Dr. ████: Indeed. Tell me, what are your thoughts after reading it.
SCP-XXXX-1-A: What are my thoughts... I must say your quests are rather mundane. I guess
my thoughts are that you guys must love me. I mean, to write an entire book about my
adventures. I am honored. I only wish Zancas was here to read it with me.
Dr. ████: So you have a heightened sense of pride. Tell me, do you think the events
in the book are real?
SCP-XXXX-1-A: Yes, it has to be. I did it myself.
Dr. ████: Then who is Miguel de Cervantes?
SCP-XXXX-1-A: An educated nobleman who documented my great tale. I must meet this man
myself.
Dr. ████: He is dead. The book he wrote was from his imagination. It is not real nor will
it ever be. It is a work of fiction for the entertainment of the reader.
SCP-XXXX-1-A: Then how do I exist?
Dr. ████: That is what we are trying to figure out.
SCP-XXXX-1-A: I see. You want me to back down from my great achievements. This is for your
pride. I've had enough of you and your sly tricks. Begone demon. If I had my sword,
I would slice you in two. Begone!

Codename: Don Quixote
Psychological analysis: SCP-XXXX-1-A exhibits an increase of positive self-evaluation.
It exhibits no psychological distress and appears to enjoy its current state.
SCP-XXXX-1-A is not dangerous and is allowed access outside of containment under the
condition that it is monitored and returned by 3:00 PM.
Dr. ████: Good afternoon Ms. Eyre
SCP-XXXX-1-B: Mrs. Rochester mind you.
Dr. ████: Yes. Please tell me what you thought of Jane Eyre.
SCP-XXXX-1-B: I assume you mean the book. Well... I am not quite pleased about it. I
feel a slight lack of privacy. I mean, it knew of my secret love towards Mr. Rochester
along with my cruel past. I mean, who knows what dignity I still have left.
Dr. ████ I see. Do you know a Charlotte Brontë?
SCP-XXXX-1-B: The woman who wrote the book regarding my life? No, not personally;
however, I would love to have a bit of a chat with her some time. Writing my life story.
Hmph, what I would do to her.
Dr. ████: Mrs. Rochester, Charlotte is dead.
SCP-XXXX-1-B: That's unfortunate.
Dr. ████: She not only documented your past, but she caused it to happen.
[10 seconds of silence]
SCP-XXXX-1-B: You mean... she caused all my emotional strife? She caused my years of
abuse. She made my entire world. She made the only thing that mattered to me? My husband?
Dr. ████: Yes. She did.
SCP-XXXX-1-B: And what was the point? To entertain a few low-class sadistic hogs? Is my
entire life just a sob story with a happy ending? Hell, would you call my husband having
damaged eyesight and a bad hand a happy ending? No wonder she committed suicide. Life is
worth nothing when you realize it's all a fake. A fake. A [expletive redacted] fake!
[Session ended]
Subject: XXXX-1-B
Code Name: Jane Rochester
Psychological analysis: SCP-XXXX-1-B exhibits symptoms of deep depression. It rarely
leaves its room and is often heard to be crying. It only eats during breakfast and mildly
at lunch. SCP-XXXX-1-B is not considered a threat and psychological sessions are to
continue every wednesday afternoon.
Dr. ████: Good evening Mr. Marner
SCP-XXXX-1-C: Good ee'ning.
Dr. ████: You were read The Weaver of Raveloe?
SCP-XXXX-1-C: Indeed. It was interestin' to listen to.
Dr. ████: Any particular emotions you felt?
SCP-XXXX-1-C: I fel' as if me life was flashin' by. It talked 'bout my dear daughter. How
did it know 'bout her?
Dr. ████: The author made her up. She isn't real.
SCP-XXXX-1-C: By God, she is the realest thang in the world. Eppie was the best thang that
happened to me. If you go 'round tellin' me that she aint real, I might just go an' show
ya what's real.
Dr. ████: Is that a threat?
SCP-XXXX-1-C: Jus' might.
Dr. ████: I understand you have a bond towards Eppie, but the fact is that the book is
fiction. Meaning its fake.
SCP-XXXX-1-C: I'll show all of ya what's fake. I'll burst through every single one of
you's skulls if I have to change yer brain. I'll kill ya. I'll [expletive redacted] kill
ya!

Dr. ██: How are you Mr. Raskolnikov?
SCP-XXXX-1-D: Bemused
Dr. ██: Bemused how?
SCP-XXXX-1-D: I read Crime and Punishment. Rather encapsulating. It really shows you just
how amazing the human mind is when controlled by an intellectual.
Dr. ██: This intellectual being Dostoevsky?
SCP-XXXX-1-D: Yes. I can feel the world, and it's not just because I was in it. It's like
looking at my world in the eyes of an omniscient god. A cruel god at that.
Dr. ██: What emotions do you have towards Dostoevsky?
SCP-XXXX-1-D: He made me see. See that human life is worth nothing more than a cent. I
killed Alyona and what do I have to prove it? Some words written on a piece of paper. Who
cares? Nobody. Why? Because it wasn't real. Not real means no impact. No impact means no
matter. No matter means it can be done again and again. Killing is fine as long as it
doesn't matter. Who's to say that it matters in this world too?
Dr. ██: Do you feel the need to kill?
SCP-XXXX-1-D: I feel the need to express this newfound emotion I have to the best of my
abilities.
Dr. ██: Very well. I believe this session is over.
SCP-XXXX-1-D: Indeed, it appears so. Session ended.
[Session ended]
Subject: XXXX-1-D
Code name: Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov
Psychological analysis: SCP-XXXX-1-D exhibits a severe case of psychosis. It has killed
several guards in cold blood with nothing more than a stapler. It appears to enjoy
inflicting pain on itself and others. SCP-XXXX-1-D is being transported to site 17
immediately.
Dr. ████: Good evening. With whom am I speaking with today?
SCP-XXXX-1-E: Dr. Jekyll has had a nasty accident, so I will be taking his place today
Dr. ████: Very well Mr. Hyde. You have read of The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde?
SCP-XXXX-1-E: I have. It's actually what caused Dr. Jekyll's unfortunate accident. He was
in quite a bit of hysteria last I checked.
Dr. ████: Will Dr. Jekyll be in a fit condition to come to sessions at any time?
SCP-XXXX-1-E: Only time will tell. However, I kind of like taking the wheel. Jekyll
had me caged for SO long. I almost forgot what my body felt like.
Dr. ████: Do you know of Robert Stevenson?
SCP-XXXX-1-E: Name doesn't ring a bell. I do, however, seem to remember his name on the
book. You tell me the book is fake. Is my reality a fake? Is he the one who had me trapped
in the same room as Jekyll.
Dr. ████: Yes. He is currently deceased. Tell me, how do you feel?
SCP-XXXX-1-E: Feel? I haven't felt this free in so long. I was locked in Jekyll's brain. I
was locked in Robert's brain. Now I'm free of both of them. How better to practice freedom
than to take it away from others.
Dr. ████: Hyde, please put that down.
SCP-XXXX-1-E: I won't let you cage me in here just like I was caged all my life.
Dr. ████: Guards! Guards!
SCP-XXXX-1-E: Just hold still. Just hold still. Let the doctor do his work.
Dr. ████: Jekyll! Jekyll wake up! Jekyll!
[Session ended]
Subject: SCP-XXXX-1-E
Code name: Mr. Hyde
Psychological analysis: Bipolar disorder stated in the book, The Strange Case of Dr.
Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, is currently replaced with severe psychosis. SCP-XXXX-1-E prefers
to take the form of Mr. Hyde. Instances of Dr. Jekyll have not appeared. SCP-XXXX-1-E
is being transported to Site 17.
Dr. ████: Good morning Mr. Smith.
SCP-XXXX-1-F: Good morning doctor.
Dr. ████: You were read 1984?
SCP-XXXX-1-F: I understood half of what was said. And I know not to bellyfeel what's told
to me. The message I understood was doubleplusgood, but I still feel as if I cannot quite
see any crimethink.
Dr. ████: So you think the book is Big Brother propaganda?
SCP-XXXX-1-F: It could be. It's a strange book, too much oldspeak.
Dr. ████: Mr. Smith, the language you speak is a fictional dialect created from a man who
wanted to talk about the negative affects of a society like Big Brother.
SCP-XXXX-1-F: Created newspeak? So the man is a member of Big Brother?
Dr. ████: No. Quite the opposite, he made your world to comment on the possibility of a
society that was stripped of voice and influence. He created your little adventure.
SCP-XXXX-1-F: So my fight for freedom was forced upon me by another man. What was the
fight for freedom then? What is freedom? Are we even given choice of our actions now?
Who's to say we aren't being forced to talk by some man with words overpowering ourselves.
Dr. ████: I guarantee you that this reality is our own. You are now free. Well, as free as
we allow you to be.
SCP-XXXX-1-F: So I'm not free. My freedom is in the hands of a joycamp. And when that
joycamp falls? Will I find myself in the arms of another joycamp? What is the point of
trying? Is it just better to be plusgood?
Dr. ████: Would you like some time alone?
SCP-XXXX-1-F: Alone? As if you would leave me alone.
[Session ended]
Subject: SCP-XXXX-1-F
Code name: Winston Smith
Psychological analysis: SCP-XXXX-1-F is currently in a depressed state and goes around
SCP-XXXX cleaning the area. It is compliant with every request given and appears to
believe itself to be a slave. Attempts to ask if anything is wrong ends with SCP-XXXX-1-F
stating everything is just doubleplusgood.
Dr. ████: Good afternoon Mr. Henry.
SCP-XXXX-1-G: Hello
Dr. ████: You read A Farewell to Arms
SCP-XXXX-1-G: mhmm
Dr. ████: Is everything alright? You seem depressed.
SCP-XXXX-1-G: Why shouldn't I be. I read about the death between my wife and child. I read
about the seemingly private life we had on top of that hill. I read about every aspect of
my life, personal and otherwise, that just about anyone could read. I saw the world I came
from.
Dr. ████: Your world is real, but you aren't.
SCP-XXXX-1-G: So I came from here?
Dr. ████: A world just like here.
SCP-XXXX-1-G: hmm. Ernest Hemingway created me right? Wrote me down on the paper and gave
me life?
Dr. ████: Yes. Your thoughts?
SCP-XXXX-1-G: If he gave me life, maybe I can figure out a way to get my wife and son
back. If I just try to write my story with a happy ending, it will all work out. Right? Is
that not how it works? He gave me life, I can give my family life too. It must be. It must
be.
Dr. ████: We are not exactly sure that the process works like that, but you are more than
welcome to try.
SCP-XXXX-1-G: And I will. I'll keep trying. I'll find a way. I must bring them back. I
must. I must.
Dr. ████: Mr. Henry? Mr. Henry? Mr. Henry, I'm going to have to end the session here. You
can go to your room if you want. Or you can stay here for as long as you want. I do hope
you find your family.
SCP-XXXX-1-G: I must. I must. I must.
[Session ended]
Subject: SCP-XXXX-1-G

Item #: SCP-5056
Object class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5056 is currently contained in a reinforced glass case. Touching of any kind is prohibited. Any signs of damage to its containment case are to be reported and repaired immediately. In the event that repair is impossible or deemed too risky, fully protected containment specialists are to enter SCP-5056's containment unit with a new case and re-contain SCP-5056. Containment specialists are advised to carry knives in the event of an attack. Said knives are only to be used to defend personnel, and not to destroy SCP-5056.
In the event of a containment breach, affected personnel are to be anesthetized immediately. Containment specialists are to extract SCP-5056 when it is located on a safe area of the infected's skin. All those previously infected by SCP-5056 are to be shaved completely. Weekly shave session are to be held indefinitely. It is currently unknown if hair has any other effect other than increased growth speed. If a death is caused by SCP-5056, the corpse must be burned.
Description: SCP-5056 is a sentient image with the appearance of a male made from human hair. SCP-5056 was originally located on the body of Dr. ████. SCP-5056 utilizes rapid hair growth and hair decay to navigate two dimensionally along a surface layer of skin. SCP-5056 previously resided in a skin square cut from Dr. ████'s back. The 2'' x 2'' piece of skin began to expand shortly after containment. SCP-5056 has the ability to willfully increase mitosis in a given direction of cells. It is found that the larger the area of skin, the larger SCP-5056's figure becomes.
When in direct physical contact with SCP-5056, it transfers itself into the skin of the victim. It is capable of moving along infected's skin as well as manipulating their skin (see Autopsy Report D41/5056).
SCP-5056 is capable of speech as well as touch. When given an object, SCP-5056 extends its hair to grasp said object. It is capable of lifting as much as 25kg. SCP-5056 has the ability to create images using hair strands. Current images include: fire, destroyed buildings, doors, and a female equivalent of itself. None have become animate or living.
SCP-5056 is not aware of life before Dr. ████. Dr. ████ has been interviewed extensively and does not show any signs of being anomalous. It is not currently known if there is a connection between the two; however, SCP-5056’s vocabulary and mannerisms suggest that much of Dr. ████’s personality has been transferred to SCP-5056.
Addendum-5056-A: Initial attempts of contact both physical and verbal resulted in a potential containment breach and the deaths of two D-class personnel. Refer to Incident Report SCP-5056-20██-1 for details.
SCP involved: SCP-5056
Date: █████ ██, 20██
Location: Site ██

0:01:47 - Dr. ██: Please open SCP-5056's case door.0:02:23 - D-class-41 opens case door. Skin is seen covering the inner walls.
0:02:32 - D-class-41: What in the hell?
0:02:41 - Dr. ██: What do you see?0:03:02 - D-class-41: The entire thing is covering the thing.
0:03:10 - Dr. ██: Please be more specific.
0:03:44 - D-class-41: The case is covered in skin. I thought you told me it was just a piece.
0:03:56 - Dr. ██: Where is the location of SCP-5056?
0:04:23 - D-class-41 reaches into the case. D-class-41: I don't see a man, but there's
an image of a town. It's made of hair if that's what you're looking for.0:04:56 - D-class-41 begins to squirm around with his arm remaining in the case.
D-class-41: It's wrapped around me. Holy God! It won't let go!0:05:32 - D-class-41 falls onto the ground and quickly stands up. He begins to look
around frantically. D-class-29 is called upon for SCP extraction.0:06:24 - D-class-29 enters the containment unit.
0:06:45 - D-class-29: Don't worry bud. It's just gonna be a quick extraction. D-class-29 slowly approaches D-class-41.
0:07:03 - D-class-41 jumps onto D-class-29. They struggle against each other until D-class-41 becomes limp.0:08:45 - D-class-29 stands up with the scalpel needed to extract SCP-5056 in his
hand. D-class-29: I didn't kill him I swear.0:09:01 - D-class-29 begins to stare at something on his arm. A black figure appears on
his neck.0:09:21 - D-class-29: No. God no. Get the hell off of me! D-class-29 commences to slice his neck's skin off. He throws it on the ground before bleeding to death.
0:09:32 - Dr. ██: Request for containment specialist team for SCP-5056. We'll need
some cleanup as well.0:09:54 - The piece of skin containing SCP-5056 begins to expand.
0:10:07 - Dr. ██: I'll need them fast.
0:10:10 - Recording ends.
Addendum-5056-A1: The following is an autopsy of D-class-41 after the events of Incident Report SCP-5056-20██-1.
Deceased: D-class-41
Reason for death: Blood vessels and organs contain skin cells, resulting in organ failure
and an increase in blood pressure.
Description of Deceased: Deceased does not suffer from any lacerations or minor wounds. Deceased's inner features are filled with skin cells. Heart, liver, kidneys, and all other hollow features are inoperable. Hair growth has increased in pace causing deceased's face to be covered in nose and head hair. The body is covered in strands of hair from the chest, pelvic region, and posterior. Strands of hair have also been located within the brain.
Notes: Foundation is advised to burn any and all corpses that show signs of this phenomenon.
Addendum-5056-B: The following are interviews regarding the nature of SCP-5056.
Interviewed: Dr. ████
Interviewer: Dr. Vaiz
<Begin Log>
Dr. Vaiz: Please state your name.
Dr. ████: █████ ████
Dr. Vaiz: Growing up, did you ever experience abnormalities of any kind?
Dr. ████: Not that I can remember, no.Dr. Vaiz: How did you become aware of the presence of the Foundation?
Dr. ████: I was approached by ██ after I discovered [DATA REDACTED]. He expressed interest in my discovery and said I would be a valuable asset to the Foundation. Naturally, my curiosity of the unknown caused me to take up the offer.
Dr. Vaiz: Have you ever come into contact with an anomaly here in site ██ that could warrant the creation of SCP-5056?
Dr. ████: During my time here, I have worked indirectly with SCP-████. As far as the Foundation knows, the anomaly cannot develop any form of sentient life nor even affect humans.
Dr. Vaiz: Not much research has been done on SCP-████ yet, so the possibility of a connection is still there. Going back on track, we have noticed the presence of hair follicles within your brain. This was present in deceased affected. You are the only living affected to exhibit this phenomenon. Do you feel any effect from this?
Dr. ████: Wait, what? I was not aware of this beforehand! No, I haven’t noticed anything. Am I at risk of anything? Is it still part of me?Dr. Vaiz: Dr. ████, please calm down. I assure you that any information that you should know will be conveyed to you. We are currently not aware of any harmful effects that your condition has caused. We assume that the hair follicles were originally attached to SCP-5056 prior to extraction and may have been a mental connection with you.
Dr. ████: Okay. So can he hear my thoughts?
Dr. Vaiz: Can you hear his?
Dr. ████: …
Dr. Vaiz: Dr. ████, can you hear voices other than your own at this moment?
Dr. ████: Not anymore, but I did. Back when SCP-5056 was still attached to me. It gave me urges: where to go, what to do. I didn't think of it much at the time, but this new development gives me a new perspective on it.
Dr. Vaiz: Noted. Well, thank you for your cooperation Dr. ████. I know this is a stressful time for you, but we here in the Foundation care for our own. That being said, you will be put in quarantine until we are confident that you are no longer affected by SCP-5056. Proper accommodations have been made to keep you as comfortable as possible. This will require your full cooperation.<End Log>
Notes: Dr. ████ will be sent to Quarantine Unit XI to participate in further testing. In the event that Dr. ████ shows continued mental connections with SCP-5056, termination procedures will commence.
Update: Dr. ████ has been released from quarantine.
Interviewed: SCP-5056
Interviewer: Dr. Vaiz<Begin Log>
Dr. Vaiz: Good evening. Are you capable of speech?
SCP-5056: Yes.
Dr. Vaiz: ██ days ago, you caused the death of two D-class personnel. Do you desire to harm living organisms?
SCP-5056: Of course not. You all are my only chance to leave this place. I only kill those who I believe will bring me back to this containment.
Dr. Vaiz: And how did those two men pose a threat once D-class-29 was possessed?
SCP-5056: The first one could have grabbed the scalpel and cut me off of the second one. I eliminated that possibility. As for the second one, I didn't think he was crazy enough to cut his neck open. If things had gone differently, I wouldn't have killed anyone and we would all have what we want. You, with two living humans, and me, riding my way to freedom.Dr. Vaiz: The Foundation wants the containment of anomalies for the safety of human civilization, and you are an anomaly. We are unsure of what you will do when freed. You did kill two humans. Also, I would like to inform you that D-class personnel are prisoners here. To say one is a ticket to freedom is greatly ironic.
SCP-5056: Perhaps. Perhaps I will stay here all my life, however long that may be. I promise that I will not kill anyone should I be given the return of a promise of freedom, but in the end, I know you won't grant that. I've seen what you doctors do to anomalies. Even when they are safe, you just lock them up. Things and people that mean no harm remain locked up in this hell hole. For what? Further testing? The possibility of danger? The need to use it for private matters? I don't want death, murder, or mayhem. I just want to know what's out there; what I'm missing.
Dr. Vaiz: And what if I told you that the world above is filled with death, murder, and mayhem. Groups of power fighting for even more power. Does it still seem appealing to you?
SCP-5056: From what I have seen down here, even though there are plenty of terrible thing out there, there are also plenty of beautiful, calming, albeit trapped things to counter the chaos. If the world above is truly like that, I would want to see it with my own eyes and not with my ears, and the only people that get out of this place are the dangerous ones.
