Item #: SCP-3829

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Containment Area 57c is to be located in a secluded area at a minimum of 1000 km from any ocean. It is to consist of a track 2.5 km long and 50 m wide, with entrances every 500 m.

Description: SCP-3829 consists of 2 entities, an average human (SCP-3829-1) and the humanoid entity it shifts into. (SCP-3829-2)

SCP-3829-1 is a 53 year old man of Chinese origin, identifying as 海王 ("Sea King") SCP-3829 shows no signs of physical or mental damage.

SCP-3829-1 walks at a constant speed of 7 kmph at all times, with a seemingly endless amount of stamina, not requiring food, water, or rest. SCP-3829-1 will move in one direction, never shifting its path in any manner. Any and all lifeforms within 2 meters of SCP-3829-1 will rapidly contract a form of necrosis, and begin to rot away into a black fluid. After shifting back from SCP-3829-2, SCP-3829-1 will immediately forget any and all memories prior to the shift.

Upon any Human moving within 1 km of SCP-3829-1, SCP-3829-1 will shift into SCP-3829-2. SCP-3829-2 is a humanoid entity, 3 meters tall, resembling a stretched version of SCP-3829-1. It is characterized by gray skin, long arms and legs, a permanent grimace, and long, pitch black claws emerging from its fingers. Black fluid appears to emerge from its skin pores, in a manner similar to sweat. Any wound created by SCP-3829-2's claws will contract the same form of necrosis, which will then spread from the wound throughout the body. After the shift, SCP-3829-2 will attack continue to remain as SCP-3829-2 until no humans are within 2 km.

Upon shifting, SCP-3829-2 will immediately change path towards the nearest human, hereby referred to as subject, moving at a speed of 75 kmph. Upon reaching the subject, SCP-3829-2 will proceed to slash or stab them a single time with its claws, after which it will move on to the next human within 1 km, leaving the subject to rot. If no humans are within 2 km of SCP-3829-2, it will immediately shift back into SCP-3829-1, and continue walking in the direction it traveled in while moving towards the subject.

SCP-3829-2 holds immense strength and speed, easily surpassing that of a normal human. However, its durability remains low. SCP-3829-2's claws are extremely sharp, able to cut cleanly through wood and flesh. SCP-3829-2 has been determined to be capable of:

  • Jumping over 50 meters into the air
  • Tearing through 20 centimeters of solid steel in under 5 seconds

Should SCP-3829-1 be in any way incapable of moving forward, it will proceed to shift into SCP-3829-2, and move in a manner that allows it to continue walking in a normal manner.

Video Interview Log 3829-4

Interviewed: Pvt. ██████

Interviewer: Dr ████████

Foreword: The interview took place 1 week after Incident 3829-A, and describes the events leading to Incident 3829-A.

<Begin Log>

DR: If you may, please describe your location at the time of Incident 3829-A.

PVT: Yeah, I-um, I was guarding the access hallway with Miner, Xing, Anderson, and Sgt. Davids when the alarms went off. Xing looked through the window and said there was a D-Class running towards us, mouthing something. Then, well…

[PVT quiets down, noticeably distressed]

DR: It's natural to be stressed, you went through a lot.

PVT: No, it's… It's fine. I heard the screams start right afterward. At first, it was normal, human… scared. But then it changed. Started to get weird, distorted, like a corrupted file. And it kept getting louder and louder and louder… Right up until that fucker got in there…

DR: I presume 3829-2?

PVT: Yeah. Xing started shouting, backing from the door, white as a damn sheet. Miner went to check it out and… Well, look. I-I've been able to stomach a lot of shit, but… not that.

DR: I'm sorry, but I'm going to need an elaboration.

PVT: I barely saw him open his mouth. He tried to yell something, but before he could even try, those fucking claws were already through him. Before we knew what was happening, the claws were out and the door started buckling. This was a heavy door, 20 centimeters of solid steel, but this thing acted as if it was like cardboard. Xing and Anderson both

Closing Statement: [Small summary and passage of what transpired afterward]

Addendum 1-A: Following incident 3829-A, a third instance of SCP-3829 has been discovered, hereby referred to as SCP-3829-3.

SCP-3829-3 appears to be a larger version of SCP-3829-2, standing at a full 5 meters tall. Its arms are noticeably larger, at a full 3 meters long, with the claws 1 meter as well. It's strength and speed both increase massively, with SCP-3829-3 able to move at nearly 160 kmph. While its durability remains the same, it is able to quickly regenerate. if SCP-3829-3 is wounded, the removed material will immediately dissolve into a similar black fluid and return to the wound, reshaping into the original body part.
