Item #: SCP-4068

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedure: SCP-4068 is to kept in a standard humanoid containment cell located on site-2, area 3. Its cell contains a spinet piano requested by SCP-4068 as a reward for its cooperation with foundation staff. (and also to get a better understanding of SCP-4068’s behavior) Currently, SCP-4068 hasn't requested anything else, but any more requests for more items must be approved by level three staff or above.

In regards to transporting SCP-4068 for experiments or observation, no one is allowed to be within 3 meters of SCP-4068 in order to keep staff from being infected with SCP-4068-1. Furthermore, if an incident were to occur where someone is infected or SCP-4068-1 then both subjects must be terminated immediately.

Any security guards that stand outside SCP-4068’s cell must wear protective gas masks to keep them from inhaling the toxin from SCP-4068's parasitic flower. Gas masks are not to be removed until the staff member is a safe distance from SCP-4068.

Description: SCP-4068 is a humanoid female, standing at 1.627 meters tall, with English origins dating back to the 17th century. It's most noticeable features is a white colored flower sprouting from its right eye and thick plant roots growing on the outside of its skin. SCP-4068 is capable of understanding human speech and emulating human emotions. However, it doesn't require any human necessities such as nourishment or sleeping.

As for the composition of its body, x-ray studies have shown that SCP-4068 is completely hollow on the inside. Aside from its plant roots, SCP-4068 has no human fluids or organs. Its skin is also composed of fired kaolin and ceramic materials used for creating porcelain.

Furthermore, SCP-4068 is capable of creating similar versions of itself known as SCP-4068-1. These creatures occur whenever victims inhale the toxin that comes from the subjects’ flower. It could be possible that SCP-4068 might not have any control over the toxin it secretes since it doesn't make any attempts to contain it.

Upon inhaling the toxin, the victim will die within five minutes as their organs start to decompose. Their skin will begin to harden while the body is turned into a cocoon-like structure for SCP-4068-1. This process ends when SCP-4068-1 emerges from the victim's body within 5 hours. SCP-4068-1 appears as a human infant capable of walking upon birth making it have above average development skills. They also share the same body composition as SCP-4068 but are much more fragile.

Discovery: SCP-4068 was discovered in an abandoned prison located in England, on August 17, 19██. The foundation was notified when citizens started going missing upon entering the prison. According to police reports, the first victims were 3 entrepreneurs who were thinking of remodeling the prison into a new business. Then there were several police officers who had never returned during their investigations.

After these 2 incidents, the abandoned building was closed off to the public and foundation staff were able to discover SCP-4068 and the bodies of its victim's inside SCP-4068's prison cell. Staff had also found many corpses of SCP-4068-1 but they were still inside the bodies of their hosts. During the confrontation, SCP-4068 stood in the corner of its prison cell and urging foundation staff to not come any closer. However, after some persuasion, SCP-4068 accepted being contained by the foundation under the impression that it wouldn't be anywhere near other civilians.

Interviewed: SCP-4068

Interviewer: Dr. Michael Watson

Foreword: The following is an interview conducted by Doctor Michael Watson on August 24, 19██ after the capture of SCP-4068.

<Begin Log>

Dr. Watson: Hello, my name is Dr. Watson. How are you?

SCP-4068:…I suppose I'm feeling alright at the moment, thank you for asking, love. Now, may I ask for the purpose of this “interview”? I am asking because people such as yourself rarely request a council with their prisoners.

SCP-4068: Oh, so you think I am “special”, do you? How sweet, alright, go on then, ask away!

Dr. Watson: That's not what meant, but I'll take that as a sign that you are willing to cooperate with our foundation. So…my first question is; what were you doing in that prison cell?
SCP:4068: Well, I was keeping myself away from the public for a long time. As you probably know since you're talking to be behind glass, people and I don't mix.
Dr. Watson: Can you explain to me why you did what you did to those people? Was there any motivation behind your actions?
SCP-4068: I did not murder those people, I swear it! I may not look like an honest woman, but I would not harm a soul unless they intended to harm me.
Dr. Watson: So self-defense was your reason for killing them?
SCP-4068: I had no reason nor control to what happened to those poor people. It's just a thing that I have been cursed with for many years. I cannot explain to you how long this has been happening.
Dr. Watson: So are there more victims, if so we would like to know so we can turn in their bodies to the proper authorities.
SCP-4068: Those people were the first “victims” I have encountered within the past [redacted] years. Those bodies must have rooted my now and those creatures, well, I made sure to dispose of every single one I saw.
Dr. Watson: Those things we saw in the victim's bodies…those “creatures” as you call them, what are they and why were they inside their bodies?
SCP-4068: They're demons disguised as newborn children, repulsive monstrosities that only serve to spread the curse that resides in my eye. They come out the bodies men and walk up to me as if I am their mother. I have no desire to have children, plus, I have little to offer a child with my profession.
Dr. Watson: So who were you before you became aware of your abilities.
SCP-4068: I am surprised! Love, can you not tell how by how I am dressed that I am clearly a… well, maybe the fault is not completely yours my attire is ruined. Oh, no matter, I am a [redacted] well, I used to be one anyways.
Dr. Watson: Oh, well don't see too bother with disclosing your profession.
SCP-4068: (laughs) ‘Tis a common vocation for women from where I am from, my dear.
<End Log>

Closing Statement: SCP-4068 was sent back to its containment cell after the interview without resistance. It's aware of its abilities but could never give an explanation to when or how it required these changes. SCP-4068 gives off a genuine impression that it doesn't mean to cause any harm.
