Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept locked in a password vault. The vault has been transferred to a supervised room after experiments have discovered the effects that the object has on the human brain. The room has air ducts, which are used in cases where removal of the object has been compromised. SCP-XXXX can only be removed by level 3 researchers. If the researcher is apparently suffering from an effect caused by the box, the ducts are activated and a predefined dose of Isoflurane is released. The investigator is then removed from the site by guards and must undergo psychiatric exams.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a white box adorned with several red angels. It is very similar to a ceramic box, however it is made of an unidentified material. Inside the box were found thirteen (13) teeth, later identified as belonging to █████ ███████.
After some experiments, it was discovered that the box has the ability to change the victim's brain waves, causing it to enter a state similar to REM sleep, but keeping it awake. In addition the box can affect the functioning of the human brain making it enter a state similar to schizophrenia. Subsequently, the victim exhibits aggressive behavior, usually attacking himself. Among other effects already registered are: Catatonia and dissociative disorder.
Readings made with a thermal camera revealed a human form, colder than the rest of the room, during the experiments.

Addendum-01: The former owner of the box, ██████ █████████, was found dead in his apartment a few days after finding the box in the attic of his old house. Before dying, the man wrote the word "Engel", using his own blood, on the ground near the place where he was found.

Addendum-02: In an experiment where the subject D-XXXX-02 was exposed to SCP-XXXX, the subject reported seeing a man whom he described as having dark eyes and hair, lightly tanned skin and wearing a black suit and white gloves. After the test, D-XXXX-02 was removed from the room in a catatonic state and, throughout the transport time, remained to whisper disconnected words, but only two were identified: Angel and Twin. D-XXXX-02 suffered brain death at ██/██/████ 02:36 AM, 3 hours after the end of the test.
