SCP-Lum

Object Class: Euclid

Special containment procedures: SCP-XXXX is housed in a facility with automatic locking mechanisms on all the doors (ELABORATE).

SCP-XXXX is to be staffed by X personnel at any time. Both of SCP-XXXX's monitoring stations are to be manned (ELABORATE).

Personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX are to be given a psychological examination prior to their deployment to evaluate their fitness for the project. Regular repeat evaluations every eight weeks are continued for all staff after their deployment. Staff who are found to be suffering low mood, fatigue or stress-related trauma are ((to be given a break)) or, in extreme cases, to be administered a class-A amnestic and transferred offsite.

SCP-XXXX is equipped with a robust alarm system. In the event of an emergency, a klaxon (ELABORATE) will sound. At this point all personnel active at the site are to lay prone with their stomachs to the floor, close their eyes, and place their hands upon their head until the alarm concludes. Any attempts to communicate with other persons during this period are strictly prohibited. After 20 minutes of the alarm sounding, the alarm will cease and a second, regular chime of Hz will begin playing. Onsite personnel are to note that this second alarm does not denote a change in behaviour and are remain in the prone position with eyes closed and hands on head; the second alarm is only in place to avert the psychological damage associated with listening to uncomfortably distressing sounds for extended periods of time. Any sounds aside from either of the two alarms are to be ignored, including but not limited to footsteps, crashes, and the voices of other site staff. Only after the second chime ceases to sound are personnel permitted to exit the prone position or open their eyes. If, due to other interfering sound, any personnel are uncertain as to whether or not the chime continues to sound, they are to maintain the prone position until they can be absolutely certain the alarm has ceased.

In the the event of an extreme containment failure, automatic security systems are to trigger the immediate termination of any and all onsite personnel and all exterior locks are summarily activated. Research Team Nabla is to be immediately notified and deployed.

Personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX are to understand that the designation "SCP-XXXX" is to only be used in reference to the containment structure itself. "SCP-XXXX" is not to be used to refer to any anamolous entities that are not specifically a part of the design and construction of SCP-XXXX. The central containment unit of SCP-XXXX should be assumed to be unoccupied when being discussed in any context. The truth value of the statement "The central containment unit of SCP-XXXX is unoccupied" is irrelevant to the continued function and maintenance of SCP-XXXX. The function of SCP-XXXX may be described with the generic term "containment". When using a verb to describe SCP-XXXX's function, the intransitive form "contain" is to be used. If greater specificity is required, personnel may state that SCP-XXXX's function is to ensure the central containment unit of SCP-XXXX is to remain sealed, but any further elaboration beyond this is strictly prohibited. These rules apply to all information, spoken or written, regarding SCP-XXXX. Failure to comply with these rules may result in a red-level emergency event.

Information regarding SCP-XXXX is restricted to personnel with level 4 clearance or higher, technicians assigned to SCP-XXXX, and Research Team Nabla. Staff being reassigned from SCP-XXXX are to be administered a class-A amnestic prior to their transfer.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a containment structure designed by Research Team Nabla and constructed by Foundation staff. (MAY NEED ELABORATION?)
