Item #: SCP-XXX1

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-[REDACTED] is to be held in a standard containment locker. Accessing the object requires approval from a Level 4 or higher staff member, but accessing information held within the object requires O5 approval. Files already collected from the object has been uploaded to the Foundation's database. These files may be accessed provided that the user has the right clearance level for the file or files being accessed.

Description: SCP-XXX1 is what appears to be a 30 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm box with a 20 cm cable with a USB plug extending from one face. While appearing to be made entirely of some form of plastic, microscopic inspection has shown the object to actually be composed of countless nanobots. These nanobots are made of an unknown material that has been proven to be highly damage-resistant, with all tested methods for destroying the. The nanobots have six legs each, and appear to hold the shape of the box by interlocking their legs with one another. While the nanobots themselves appear nearly indestructible, the box itself may be temporarily damaged, showing similar toughness to standard PVC. The nanobots appear to temporarily disconnect from one another when attempts are made to damage the box, creating the appearance of the box being broken. This is possibly to avoid unnecessary damage to the legs, leading to the belief that these nanobots, while difficult to damage, are not entirely indestructible. Approximately 2 seconds after the box receives damage, the nanobots appear to move to reconnect with one another, completely repairing all damage.

When connected to a computer through a USB port, the box displays approximately [REDACTED] files. Most of these files are corrupted, and approximately [REDACTED] do not appear to be designed to be accessed by any known computer systems. Among the files that can be accessed appears to be documentation of nearly all currently known SCPs, along with approximately [REDACTED] unknown SCPs. The Foundation is currently looking into the possible existence of these unknown SCPs, with [REDACTED] anomalies having been discovered and contained as a result of these documents. The documentation does, however, carry various inaccuracies, with some currently contained SCPs not appearing in any of the documents, other documents containing incorrect information relating to the described SCPs, and some of the unknown SCPs not appearing to exist. This, added to the circumstances under which SCP-XXX1 was discovered, has led researchers to believe that the object comes from some alternate reality.

Other files on the object contain information regarding various GOIs known to the Foundation, though this documentation also contains various discrepancies compared to data collected by the Foundation regarding these GOIs. There is also documentation of a GOI by the name of [REDACTED], which is currently unknown to the Foundation. Research is currently being conducted to confirm whether this GOI or some equivalent exists in our reality.

One of the unknown SCP's documents notably contained various edits and other pieces of information not found in standard SCP documents, including documents recovered from this object. It is believed that this information was added by the SCP itself, which is also believed to be the creator of SCP-XXX1, though this hypothesis has yet to be confirmed. The SCP's existence in our reality has not been confirmed, though its connections to other SCPs has led us to believe that this SCP may simply have yet to appear on Earth, so investigations are ongoing. The full text of the document has been transcribed to Document XXX1-1.
