Special Containment Procedures: SPC-XXXX must remain in its isolation chamber – located at Containment Site-XX – at all times.
Several optical observation systems are to be established in the area, and no personel below Level 4 security clearances are to be allowed in a 5 km radius of the object, unless permitted by one of the O5 Council Members or the current Site Director. If permits were provided by a previos Site Director, every personel must apply for a re-investigation of their permits. Electricity is to be supplied to the magnetic confinement and the vacuum generator. At times when electricity cannot be supplied, no less than twenty (20) guards have to be present at the designated site. All personel under a 25 km distance from the object must wear special protective equipment.

Should containment breach, Emergency Containment Procedure XXXX-Ω takes effect immediately.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a negative mass anti-atom consisting of 1287 anti-neutrons, 503 anti-protons and 503 positrons, surrounded by 23 uranium-238 atoms. Due to its negative matter-like nature, light is bent around the object.

It was first discovered in the newly built nuclear power plant of ████,███████, near the river Danube, during its test runs in the 80s.

A fuel rod containing various uranium and plutonium isotopes was inspected, when a sudden tempeture increase of around 10°C was observed in the heavy water in the primary cooling loop.
After the investigation, local scientist found a chemical compound yet unknown that possessed properties unseen before. Testing was done and the name "Sample Alpha 117-4" had been given to the object. During one of the tests, the compund was succesfuly determined to consist of 28 uranium-238 atoms (only 23 of wich are present today) and one yet unknown element. The relative molecular mass was measured to be about 4800 with an error in measurements no more than 300 – about 1200 lower than calculations made with convencional models.

After the discovery, local SCP Field Agents have been informed, and tasked to confiscate and contain the item due to its possibly anti-matter-like properties.

It gained its nickname of "The Danubian Atom" after containment along Foundation members, even though this goes against various policies.

In the late 90s further testing was carried out. Although the proper atomic constitution has been identified, no more usable data has been deduced. As a result, it is unkown how SPC-XXXX had not decayed yet or entered a reaction with normal matter.

A high atomic number suggests extreme energies stored in the atomic bomnds, with a baseline estimated at 5,32 EJs (~5,318 000 000 000 000 * 10¹⁵ J). Should SPC-XXXX decay or enter a reaction with regular matter, this energy would be released in a microsecond, creating a radiation and pressure wave similar to that of an ordenance with an explosive yield equivalent of 1,27 Megatons of TNT.

Addendum XXXX-01: Incident XXXX-I-2001-03-14

On 2001. 03. 14. at 14:32:15 local containment was breached Containment Site-XX. SCP-XXXX had disappeared from all monitoring equipment. A team of seven (7) Contaiment Specialists were sent to re-establish containment. They entered the objects containment establishment at 14:37:48, however SCP-XXXX was found inside in its containment chamber, although slightly misaligned (less than 0,5°). Light bending around the object is now more prominent. Several uranium-238 atoms are missing. No other changes were observed, and the misalignemnt was corrected.
Later investigations showed that the monitoring equipment was fully operational, and had not been compromised.
A report was sent to the O5 Council.

Addendum XXXX-02: Reply from the O5 Council

"We believe that the events of Incident XXXX-I-2001-03-14 could repeat any time, and as such, security around SCP-XXXX must be increased. Due to the possible consequences of another containment breach, we propose Emergency Containment Procedure XXXX-Ω as mandatory around this object."

In case of breach of containment, the O5 Council must be informed in at least 90 seconds, and a Temporary Mobile Task Force with no less than 20 Containment Specialists, 50 Guards and a Tactical Response Officer shall be established. A 25 km perimiter around Containment Site-XX is to be secured. Only Task Force members, the Site Director and O5 Council members may enter.
