Special Containment Procedures:
Geological Research Team Bravo-12 is to monitor seismic activity in North American southeastern regions for wave patterns consistent with past data structures produced by installations found containing samples of SCP-####.
Upon confirmation of detection of seismic activity matching production of SCP-####, armed containment specialists outfitted with Meldrum-Hardy hazardous environment equipment are to be deployed to the installation by ground vehicle with the following instructions (in order of priority):
-Confiscate or destroy any samples of SCP-#### on location.
-Confiscate or destroy any paper documents or data stores on location
-Arrest or terminate any persons on location.
Mobile Task Force Alpha-4 (“Pony Express”) is to routinely screen oil shipments and transport vehicles for traces of SCP-####. Shipments found to be contaminated with SCP-#### exceeding ██ ppm are to be tagged with global positioning marker devices prior to contact of armed containment teams.
While handling samples of SCP-####, all personnel are advised to adhere to Class II hazardous materials protocol.
All confiscated samples of SCP-#### and documents or data stores are to be transported to Anomalous Storage Warehouse 4 at Area-63 for cataloguing and storage. Access of these samples and documents following storage is limited to personnel with level 3/#### clearance.
Samples of SCP-#### held for a period greater than 180 days are to be incinerated.
Any arrested persons determined as not being physically affected by SCP-#### are to be interrogated prior to administration of amnestics, registration under POI Documentation and Monitoring Program #4, and release.
In the event that a sample of SCP-#### comes into skin contact or is imbibed by any person outside of a testing environment, they are to be immediately restrained and escorted to a reinforced humanoid containment unit by security staff prior to contact of DET-Bravo-12.
Area-63 is to maintain a team of researchers with expertise in biological chemistry for the purpose of ongoing research into the makeup of SCP-####.
Research staff at Area-63 with clearance level 3 or higher may request access to documentation confiscated from previous raids on locations containing information pertaining to the production of SCP-####. (Note: Following Incident-####-Gamma, all trials involving documentation or samples of SCP-#### are to occur under the direct supervision of the regional HMCL supervisor.)
Surviving persons physically affected by SCP-#### are to be held at Area-63 for a period of 365 180 90 days prior to transfer to permanent holding at Site-19.
Description:
SCP-#### is a viscous red liquid similar in composition to red wine. When a sample of SCP-#### comes into contact with a living human subject, the afflicted individual undergoes a transformation resulting in one of several anomalous properties. As observed during field raids and laboratory trials, these thus far have included:
-Formation of extraneous limbs or other body structures on subject
-Subject radiates heat up to 891.6 degrees Celsius with a radius of 30 metres.
-Subject with excessive scar tissue is completely healed.
-[DATA EXPUNGED], resulting in the deaths of 4 research staff.
-Subject bursts into flames, resulting in death 5.2 minutes later.
-All standing water within 500 metres of subject converted to mundane red wine.
-All electronic components within 40 metres of subject fail and burst into flames.
-All persons of non-Abrahamic faiths within [REDACTED] km of subject burst into flames. Amnestic protocol Alpha-2 engaged.
The use of samples of SCP-#### for various ceremonies and rituals has been noted by embedded Foundation agents within various religious groups, cults and GOIs in the region of Alberta, Canada. As of the writing of this article, containment procedures have led to a 92.3% success rate at preventing the distribution and use of SCP-#### outside of the specified region. However, the consistent rate at which outstanding groups appear suggests the existence of a hidden production centre thus far hidden to Foundation assets.
The shelf life of SCP-#### has been ranged as no more than 157 days in cold storage from production based on observations conducted upon fresh samples seized from six (6) distribution centres successfully disrupted by DET-Bravo-12 elements.
Individuals that have come into contact with SCP-#### have displayed increased aggression, and appear to age at a rate approximately 40.1% slower than baseline humans based on observations of 197 affected individuals over the course of 7 years. Research into potential for anti-aging solutions based on synthetic recreation of SCP-#### is ongoing under Mandate [REDACTED] under order of Dr. [DATA EXPUNGED].
