Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4974 must be contained in a Standard Humanoid Containment Cell in Facility ██, which must include access to a toilet, shower facility and standard issue sleeping cot. Motion sensors were installed in SCP-4974’s cell but they were reported faulty on ██/██/████. Surveillance footage of the entity’s cell is to remain active at all times, if the surveillance system is switched off, tampered with or otherwise impeded an alarm is to be triggered to notify personnel. SCP-4974 does not require food or water and none shall ever be given upon request.

Description: SCP-4974 is a male humanoid entity approximately 1.7 metres in height and average build with short brown hair. SCP-4974 appears to be fluent in all manner of communication, including all known forms of language spoken, written, signed or otherwise (including morse, binary, braille and complex codes such as html and Base64). The entity can also seemingly switch between dialects at random through no rhyme or reason.

4974-B - Any personnel with knowledge of SCP-001 must not come into contact with SCP-4974 under any circumstances. SCP-4974 has made repeated requests to speak to someone with knowledge of SCP-001 but all requests have been denied.

4974-C - If an entity is brought into Facility ██, after SCP-4974 has escaped, whether or not the personnel on duty recognise or otherwise beyond any reasonable doubt believe the entity to in fact be SCP-4974, then they must undergo a nine point authentication process to identify if the entity may be SCP-4974; this includes (if applicable): saliva, blood, semen, feces, urine, finger print, retinal, voice identification, hair sample. SCP-4974 has been recorded as extremely cooperative in authentication, in some instances showing delight and enjoyment during the process.

The authentication process must be conducted in a concealed environment no less than 24 hours after the incarceration of the entity. If SCP-4974 fails to cooperate with any requested forms of authentication these must be taken forcefully, although there has been no recorded issues as such to date.

4974-D - Any alterations to SCP-4974’s file, including but not limited to: Object Class, Description, Special Containment Procedures, Addendums or any information about or relating to SCP-4974, must undergo a strict three person authorisation before inclusion. Two of the three personnel must not have had any interaction with the entity in the last three months. Any personnel found altering or otherwise tampering with SCP-4974’s file must be apprehended immediately and held for further testing.

Any alterations prior to submission of Addendum 4974-D must be considered false or otherwise inconsequential unless otherwise specified. SCP-4974 Object Class should remain as █████, and never be changed/altered or otherwise .

4974-E - Containment Logs

  • 4974-E-1 - Any personnel exposed to SCP-4974 for routine checks were given Noise Cancelling headphones. SCP-4974 was still able to communicate with personnel as if they were not wearing any.
  • 4974-E-2 - A proposal to test sight deprivation for personnel performing routine checks on SCP-4974 was denied.
  • 4974-E-3 - Routine checks of SCP-4974 were ceased effective immediately. The entity escaped containment approximately three minutes after scheduled check was not made.
  • 4974-E-4 - SCP-4974 was injected with ██mg of Methohexital. The entity showed no observable reaction to the drug.
