Special Containment Procedures: As SCP-5424 is located 25500 light years (2.4 quintillion kilometers) from Earth, containment is impossible. Foundation agents embedded in astronomical agencies are to discourage searches for planets in the region of the Sagittarius A* Supermassive black hole. In the event of SCP-5424 being discovered agents must use any means to stop information leaking to the public as such information could lead to a ßK-Class (''Lifted Veil") Scenario.¹

Description: SCP-5424 is a planet that is 1.3x the mass of Earth. It orbits around the Supermassive Black Hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy known as Sagittarius A*. Despite being a "rogue"² planet and its only apparent light source being distant stars it appears to have the same luminosity as a planet orbiting a main sequence star such as our own sun. SCP-5424 was discovered on 13/04/2027 while a foundation probe using experimental FTL³ technology to investigate [REDACTED].
