Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5746 is to be kept in air-tight 3m by 3m room fitted with acoustic panels located on floor 2 of Site-24. Access requires level-2 or higher clearance. Researchers conducting experimentation on SCP-3746 are to view it through CCTV cameras placed on the right and left side of the chamber. Any direct contact made with SCP-5746 under any circumstance must have been approved by at least 3 members of the O5 council.
Description: SCP-5746 is a United States flag approximately 1m in width and .5m in height. It was donated by the Miller family from Grand Island, Nebraska. It was donated to the facility after bizare occurances were reported by Arthur Miller, in which he called the police, in which the foundation was alerted. It has been identified as "Anley Fly Breeze American flag" which can be purchased on the American E-commerce website Amazon.com. Several holes and punctures can be found throughout the flag, presuming it rather old. The exact age of Scp-5746 is as of yet unknown. Following incident 5746-01, all testing on SCP-5746 is heavily discouraged, though not outlawed by the foundation. This discouragement is what keeps researchers from preforming tests on pieces of SCP-5746, therefore leaving its age a mystery. Contact made with SCP-5746 will result in the victim seemingly disappearing. The victim will reappear up to 3 or 5 hours later dead. the appear only within a 90-yard radius. Subjects have been reported to appear in Janitorial closets, the site-24 cargo bay, and cafeteria. It is also worth taking note that all subjects have been reported to have their right hand placed in a saluting position, or over their heart. Removing any articles of clothing will reveal the phrase "God Bless America" inscribed on the subject's chest.
Document SCP-5746a (Regarding incident 5746-01): On June 17th, 2016, SCP-5746 was reported to speak clear, deep phrases in English, Such as direct excerpts from the Constitution, and Bill of Rights. Though what the most personal reported hearing was what appeared to be an emergency broadcast declaring the United States had been attacked by an unseen enemy with Thermo-Nuclear warheads. The broadcast is telling all listeners to, "Report to the nearest fallout shelter". the broadcast kept repeating until 14 minutes, in which the voice decalred that the few remaining listening to the broadcast that hope was now dead. It repeated that DEFCON 1 had been declared USAF, and that "the precious memories of America will forever live on in the dreams of the redeemed".
