Special Containment Procedures: Multiple Scranton Reality Anchors are to be placed around SCP-XXXX. If ever changes are to be sighted regarding SCP-XXXX's size, the changes must be reported to the O5 council immediately. In the events of SCP-XXXX changing in sound ,from a low hum to a high pitched squeal, this change must be reported to the O5 council immediately.
In the events of a Scranton Reality Anchor failing, a maintenance team must be situated in order to resolve the issue.
If ever an instance of SCP-XXXX-θ is to enter our reality, a group of Mobile Task Force is to be situated to Site-██ and must contain the subject by any means necessary. Failure to contain SCP-XXXX-θ will result in the detonation of Omega-Warhead weaponry.
If ever SCP-XXXX itself is to appear within our reality, the dimensional pad is to be activated containing all researchers level 3-5 and SCP-999.
Description: SCP-XXXX resembles a civilization of entities who follow a religion where they themselves believe they are the bringers of our current reality. SCP-XXXX subjects resemble that of a hawk moth. Their heads bear two eye stalks, one protruding from each side, and they have two long mandibles. Their life cycle involved an aquatic larval stage, and while their main torso appears about as big as a Human torso, their tentacle makes their full body length about twice that of Humans. The species believes in one goal that is the recreation and purification of those who have strayed from their beliefs.
SCP-XXXX appears to be a reality bender species who do so with their tentacle-like appendage. They use the tentacle to genetically modify species into their own vision of what that species should be. At current time it is unknown how SCP-XXXX is able to genetically modify on such a fine level, however, SCP-XXXX is also able to create mass which violates the law of conservation of mass.
Addendum-XXXX.1: Discovery
SCP-XXXX was discovered during the creation of the Sigma Radio Tower. The Sigma Radio Tower was designed in order to more easily receive and send messages via radio signal in secret during the Cold War. During a broadcast from Site-██ to Site-██, unique radio wave patterns were detected. Upon evaluation of the sending site, it was detected that the broadcast was coming from, not a site in our reality, a site from another. At the time, this was a groundbreaking discovery for the foundation, however, the shear power of SCP-XXXX was, at the time, unknown. According to site history files, SCP-XXXX was discovered 4 years after the broadcast that has been dubbed "The Great Wave". The broadcast was deciphered to reveal that the broadcast was an SOS from the closest reality to ours. Assuming our reality works in layers, we are stacked upon the reality of SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX is attempting to break through its own layer and into ours.
