Item #: SCP-#### - The Achilles Statuette. (███████)

Object Class: Euclid.

Special Containment Procedure: The anomalous power of SCP-#### only takes effect when a subject is within a two metre radius of the anomalous object. To prevent the anomalous power of SCP-#### from affecting SCP Foundation personnel, SCP-#### is to be contained within a ten metre area room with SCP-#### at the far end of the room. This room should have observation glass and a door only accessible by Class-03 Personnel within it at the five metre mark - the door into the room itself should also be only accessible by Class-03 Personnel. All instances of SCP-####-1-C and D must be shut in solitary confinement. The room should be made out of carbon steel, 5x6x7m area, but on the inside appear as wooden, with a king-sized bed. The room should also feature a stool, a lute, and looms based on and inspired by Ancient Greek myths, preferably crafted by a woman of Greek descent. SCP-####-A and B can be allowed to interact and live with D-Class personnel, however if their behaviour worsens and it is believed they have reached stage C, they must immediately be placed in the same conditions as instances of 1-C and D before their full transformation is complete.

Description: SCP-#### stands at 13.3x6x5.5cm, and and testing has revealed it's composition as being 94% copper, the other 6% being an amalgamation of hundreds of other elements. As of yet, no other instances of SCP-#### have been discovered, and so it is assumed that the instance captured is the only one in existence. There is no discernible signature or origin of the anomalous item that the SCP Foundation can trace back to; the SCP Foundation have issued agents on the island of [REDACTED] to do further research into the potential origin of the anomalous object.

Foreword:
This instance of SCP-####-1 had been a D-Class personnel, at the time only affected by the
mental and linguistic changes that coincide with the anomalous object's power. This interview took place in the first week after exposure to SCP-####, four days after the subject was placed in the room with the anomalous object.

At this time, the subject was not a threat, however he was bound to his chair in the interrogation room as safety measures. The translator was not necessary for this specific interview, however it was recommended they be present for every interaction with instances of SCP-####-1.

Dr. Nathan Garrett: Good afternoon. As you know, we've been monitoring your behaviour and any physical changes that may have occurred since you interacted with SCP-####. Can you tell me how you feel today?

SCP-####-1-A: Same as usual. I kinda feel like the thing didn't work, because nothing is different about me, really.

Dr. Nathan Garrett: On Monday, [REDACTED], this week, you were heard by one staff member as speaking in another language. According to other D-Class personnel recently, you have been speaking occasionally in a language you have never shown to be capable in speaking before interaction with the anomalous object. Do not keep anything from us, [REDACTED], your main goal > should be to help the SCP Foundation.

SCP-####-1-A: …Nothing feels wrong. What am I meant to talk about?

Dr. Nathan Garrett: EMI scans have detected odd behaviour in your frontal lobe. We believe from our tests that there has been anomalous changes concerning your personality and memories. Can you please describe yourself to me, and recount your favourite, and hardest memory?

SCP-####-1-A: Oh. Okay. Well, I'm 5'7", with brown hair and green eyes-

Dr. Nathan Garrett: Please focus on describing yourself personality-wise. Tell me some of your best traits and worst traits, then tell me about your favourite and hardest memory.

SCP-####-1-A: Sorry. Best traits… um. I think I'm smart, I'm good to my friends, I can stand up for myself… I'm good at making jokes, I guess, and I feel like if someone started a fight I wouldn't be a push over. Worst traits? Get bored easily. I can get agitated when someone is taking ages to get to the point, I like sorting things out quickly. Uh, that's really all I can think of.

Dr. Nathan Garrett: Thank you. Tell me about your memories, then explain to me why you have been speaking in another language. My friend here [REDACTED] is a professional translator, fluent in many different languages past and present, which we believe may be necessary.

SCP-####-1-A: Fair enough, uh, I guess. I'm getting a little freaked out now, but that's fine. My favourite memory was probably fishing with my Dad, when I was little, before the Foundation found me. My hardest memory would have to be learning that my mother left me when I was a child. The language thing, I don't know, I don't think I've spoken in anything other than English.

Dr. Nathan Garrett: Thank you for your cooperation. That's enough for today. Please feel free to relieve stress by going to the break room, or going about your normal business here in the facility. We'll have you free from your chair straight away.

Afternote:
The known previous history of D-Class subject does not parallel the recount of the subject's hardest memory. We have all the details of the subject's mother, her location and her husband, the subject's father. We have no doubts SCP-#### has had an effect on the D-Class subject, and further supervision and testing has been allowed.

Foreword:
This interview took place one week after the initial interview with SCP-####-1-A, with the same subject who we believe by the time of the second interview had reached stage B of D of the transformation. By this time, the subject was aware of his newly adopted language, identified by the translator as Mycenaean Greek. Our knowledge of Mycenaean Greek is limited, however the Foundation requested additional resources from Classical Academics to aid us in understanding SCP-####-1-B when he would switch from English to Mycenaean Greek.

Dr. Nathan Garrett: Hello, [REDACTED]. We're happy to see that despite some obvious changes to your mind, you did not struggle when we requested you come for this interview.

SCP-####-1-B: Of course not, why would I be scared of it? I know you could have me dragged in here if I didn't comply, so I came along.

Dr. Nathan Garrett: What would you rather be doing, if you weren't here right now?

SCP-####-1-B: Probably listen to music. I've been asking for instruments to play, but because of the interview shit I'm not allowed anything that could 'be dangerous'. Pisses me off.

Dr. Nathan Garrett: I didn't know you played any musical instruments. Is that another new quality you've adopted since we last talked?

SCP-####-1-B: I want to learn. I feel less tense when I hear music. It makes sense to want to play it if it's relaxing, doesn't it?

Dr. Nathan Garrett: Are you aware you speak another language now? We've discovered you speak a form of Mycenaean Greek, a language spoken in Greece before the country's dark ages. It is not at all reasonable that you should know this.

SCP-####-1-B: Yes, I'm aware now that I can speak in another language.
