MagicPigPerson

Item #: SCP-3646

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3646 is to be kept in a steel container, which is to be locked when SCP-3646 is not in use. Two (2) armed guards are to prevent access to SCP-3646 to all personnel under level 2/3646 clearance.

Description: SCP-3646 is a purple, A4 ring-binder, containing 30 31 A4 pages, all but 1 page contained in a plastic pocket. The first 30 of the pages (designated SCP-3646-1 through SCP-3646-30) display images of a human limb. Pictures include limbs such as arms, legs and individual fingers.

Any person (who will now be known as SCP-3646-A) who views any out of SCP-3646-1 through SCP-3646-30 will experience a gradual decrease of control over that body part, completely losing control of it within two weeks. Viewing any pages of SCP-3646 through any other means than the naked eye does not neutralize its effects. The symptoms spanning out over the course of 2 weeks are as follows:

1 day: No visible effect.
2-3 days: Subtle twitching in the area of infection.
3-5 days: SCP-3646-A reports pins and needles in the area of infection. Muscles tense.
5-8 days: SCP-3646-A begins to make involuntary movements with the infected limb, usually resulting in injury.
8-12 days: SCP-3646-A's pain receptors are no longer functional in the infected limb. Involuntary movements become more common. The movements have been observed to be more 'coordinated' by personnel.
12-14 days: Area of infection seems to develop sentience. SCP-3646-A can no longer willfully control their infected limb. The infected limb will always attempt to kill SCP-3646-A, with a 93% success rate.

The only known way to halt an SCP-3646 infection has been to amputate the infected limb. However, infected subjects will always show an unwillingness to amputate the limb, even if the infection has reached the stage where they can no longer feel pain in the infected limb.

Addendum: On ██/██/20██, Doctor █████ conducted an experiment where he placed an A4 sheet of paper with a picture of the human brain into SCP-3646, then ordered a D-Class to view it.

Taking the sheet of paper out has proven to be ineffective, as it still displays all of its anomalous effects. Therefore, this item has been officially designated SCP-3646-31.
