INTERVIEW LOG #1
INTERVIEW:

Dr. Spear: Hello, SCP – XX—
SCP – XXXX: Please, don’t call me that. My name is [REDACTED]
Dr. Spear: for interview purposes, is it okay if I refer to you as SCP – XXXX
SCP – XXXX: Fine. I guess.
Dr. Spear: Fantastic. SCP – XXXX, I understand that you requested this interview, but given your anomalous effects, I hope you understand—
SCP – XXXX: Yes. I know. I’m not here to tell you the secret. I just… I just want this on record, okay?
Dr. Spear: And whats that?
SCP – XXXX I'm not a bad guy, ma’m. I mean, I’m not evil. I didn’t kill any of those people, I didn’t tell them to kill themselves, I didn’t make them do it. It’s just… Once they know… What else can they do?
Dr. Spear: Do you mean to say these deaths are not a result of knowing what you call “the secret”?
SCP – XXXX: Oh, no. Once they know, however they react to it is up to them. Most people take their own lives. I tried to. I tried and it just wouldn’t work. And some other people…. When they know they just….

[SCP – XXXX stares in silence]

Dr. Spear: Yes? SCP – XXXX, are you still with us?
SCP – XXXX Yeah. Sorry. Some people handle it better than others. But honestly, I think I prefer the people killing themselves once they know. I don’t like the idea of people walking around knowing the trurth.
Dr. Spear: Then why do you tell anyone at all?
SCP – XXXX: I don’t know. At first It was fear. But now… I… I think I’m just looking for help. If I know, maybe there is someone out there who knows what to do…

Dr. Spear: what to do about what?
[SCP – XXXX gets up and paces the room and making hand gestures sporadically]
SCP – XXXX: You know what I like about this facility doc? When you first got here you must have thought this place was real fucked up. But I don’t.
Dr. and whys that?
SCP – XXXX: Because I know the truth. When you know it, everything makes sense. And nothing makes sense. Doctor, I want to give you something.

[SCP – XXXX hands SCP – XXXX-1 to Dr. Spear]

Dr. Spear: Whats this?
SCP – XXXX: Just take it. We’re done here.

[END INTERVIEW LOG#1]

SCP – XXXX-1 was examined and found to possess no abnormal or anomalous effects. However, on date [REDACTED] six staff members were found to have committed suicide after reviewing the interview video recording tapes.
Further investigation revealed SCP – XXXX’s hand gestures to have been a coded sign language. Eleven of the staff members assigned to reviewing SCP – XXXX’s interview were fluent in American sign language with six also being assigned to examine SCP – XXXX-1.
This suggests the effects of SCP – XXXX’s secret require physical contact with SCP – XXXX-1 in order to take effect as well as a perception of the secret itself.
Attempts to record or transcribe the secret in auditory recordings have all failed, however written or other such forms of communication can work.

SCP – XXXX is allowed access to SCP – XXXX-1 as the object routinely vanishes and appears in SCP – XXXX’s possession after a few hours of separation.

Recent interviews conducted with SCP-XXXX have shown the subject expressing a desire to reveal "the secret" to as many people as possible.
