Special Containment Procedures: All information relating to SCP-XXXX is to be contained in storage locker XXXX. Any public information regarding SCP-XXXX is to be censored and contained. Storage locker XXXX should only be opened for containment of new information. Testing is prohibited due to risk of outbreak. Under no circumstances should a physical description of SCP-XXXX be obtained by any individual. If a physical description is obtained amnestics are to be administered. If amnestics prove ineffective the subject is to be terminated.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a non-real entity whose description exhibits anomalous effects. When an individual obtains a description of SCP-XXXX they will begin to hallucinate and claim to see SCP-XXXX. Once a description of SCP-XXXX is obtained the subject will begin to spread the description in any way possible. The subject will slowly develop an obsession over SCP-XXXX to the exclusion of all other thoughts. In severe cases this can lead to death due to neglect of basic needs.

SCP-XXXX was first discovered when a researcher was infected from an unknown source. This researcher proceeded to infect over 80 percent of site██. In order to contain the outbreak [DATA EXPUNGED]. An investigation was subsequently led in order to safely contain all information regarding SCP-XXXX. The source of SCP-XXXX has still not been identified.

Addendum: The following are test logs from before testing was prohibited.

_Test A_

Procedure: Two subjects are put in an observation chamber. Subject A is given a document containing a description of SCP-XXXX. The amount of time it takes for Subject A to infect Subject B is measured. All personnel involved are administered amnestics upon completion of testing and monitored for 24 hours for signs of infection. No description of SCP-XXXX is recorded during documentation.

Results: Subject A is introduced to the observation chamber. Subject A and Subject B begin talking. Approximately a minute passes before Subject A appears distressed and claims to see SCP-XXXX behind Subject B. No entity appears to be behind Subject B. Subject A proceeds to describe SCP-XXXX.

_Test B_

Procedure: Subject is given a description of SCP-XXXX. Subject is put into an observation chamber outfitted with standard amenities as well as a TV to give the subject something to do other then think about SCP-XXXX. All personnel involved are administered amnestics upon completion of testing and monitored for 24 hours for signs of infection. No description of SCP-XXXX is recorded during documentation.

Results: Subject is introduced to the observation chamber. While the subject is observing their surroundings they appear distressed and claim to see SCP-XXXX in the corner. No entity appears to be in the corner. At this point the audio from inside the observation room is muted. Research staff are administered amnestics and exchanged for uninfected staff. Testing continues.

The subject begins banging on the glass between the observation chamber and the observation deck. Subject attempts to break the glass using a chair from within the room. After approximately 10 minutes the subject stops attempting to break the glass and instead uses the chair to break the TV. The subject begins cutting themselves with glass from the TV. Subject attempts to write a description of SCP-XXXX on the wall using their own blood. Testing is stopped. Subject is terminated before a full description can be written.
