This is actually SCP-2316, but with dreams. It's not unique enough. But I'll keep it here for personal reference.
Item Number: SCP-4xxx
Item Class: Keter
The following file contains images and text that are carriers for anomalous cognitohazardous influences. Due to this, it is imperative that all personnel accessing this file be certified as having a Cognitive Resistance Value (CRV) of no less than 10.
Special Containment Procedures:
- SCP-4xxx-A is to be quarantined and fenced off, and is to be routinely patrolled by individuals who have not been exposed to SCP-4xxx, and have no prior knowledge of its characteristics. Individuals who attempt to bypass the enforced quarantine must be apprehended and moved to Site-xx for a full cognitive influence screening. Individuals who come within 50m of SCP-4xxx are to be considered lost. Under no circumstances are Foundation personnel authorized to come within 50m of SCP-4xxx. There are currently no safe ways of observing SCP-4xxx.
- SCP-4xxx-B is to be monitored for movement. As of yet, SCP-4xxx-B has never left the water in SCP-4xxx-A
- SCP-4xxx-X subjects are to be detained and administered standard Class A amnestics. If no further symptoms occur within 48 hours, they are to be released.
- All instances of SCP-4xxx-Y are to be destroyed immediately. If an instance of SCP-4xxx-Y is ever located on the internet, all server hosts are to be located and instances removed. All traffic is to be traced and IP addresses monitored for instances of SCP-4xxx-X.
Description:
SCP-4xxx-A is the designation given to the lake at which the anomalous phenomena occur.
SCP-4xxx-B is a single humanoid that stands near the shore of SCP-4xxx-A. Upon observing SCP-4xxx-B, the observer (designated SCP-4xxx-X) is compelled to approach SCP-4xxx-B.
Reports indicate that SCP-4xxx-B appears to be a deceased family member or other close relation to the observing SCP-4xxx-X. SCP-4xxx-B then attempts to convince SCP-4xxx-X to join them in the water.
Upon touching the lake's surface, an SCP-4xxx-X subject will begin to hallucinate various means of their own death. Subjects retrieved at this point report feeling contented despite the content of the hallucinations, and a continued compulsion to enter the lake. If kept away from the lake SCP-4xxx-X subjects begin experiencing recurring dreams (SCP-4xxx-D) of SCP-4xxx-A and SCP-4xxx-B. These dreams invariably end in the subject entering the lake and seeing images of various means of their death, and cause further compulsion. As dreams continue, subjects slowly begin to experience flu-like symptoms that cannot be treated by any known publicly available medication. If left untreated (Usually by standard Class A amnestics), subjects fall into a coma and eventually die. Subjects can be revived from the coma by transporting them to within approximately 1km of SCP-4xxx-A, whereupon they may be administered standard Class A amnestics.
SCP-4xxx-Y is the designation given to any images or videos of SCP-4xxx-B. Upon observing an instance of SCP-4xxx-Y, the observer begins to experience SCP-4xxx-D and becomes a SCP-4xxx-X subject.
To date, no individuals who have entered the lake have been recovered.
