SCP-XXXX
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 is to be kept in conventional refrigeration appliance, elevated 5m from the floor, in the center of an anomalous item storage unit at least 8x8m in size. SCP-XXXX-1 is to be kept at a minimum temperature of −18 °C, or otherwise frozen.
All personnel who interact with SCP-XXXX-1 or enter its range of effect must be checked by medical personnel before they enter and after they leave. Personnel with injuries or afflictions that meet the SCP-XXXX Injured Criteria are not allowed to interact with SCP-XXXX-1 outside of testing.
Separation of SCP-XXXX-1 from instances of SCP-XXXX-2 must be carried out by medical personnel who are aware of SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties and have been trained in its handling. If an incision must be made during the separation process, tissue must be cauterised in order to prevent the spread of SCP-XXXX-1 in SCP-XXXX-2. It is sometimes necessary to terminate instances of SCP-XXXX-2 if separation is deemed impossible.
It is currently suspected that at least fifty-one (51) other jars (48.45 l) of SCP-XXXX-1 currently exist outside of containment.
Description: SCP-XXXX-1 refers to a collection of four (6) flip-top glass preserving jars containing 0.95 litres of an anomalous substance. Each jar is labelled in handwritten Ukrainian as "Blackberry Jam"1 with black marker. The chemical composition of the anomalous substance has been identified as a combination of chitin, sulphur, water, carbon graphite, and clay. The measured ratio of each substance is not consistent; however, the visual appearance of SCP-XXXX-1 does not change from a viscous, translucent grey liquid.
All acoustic noise within a five (5) meter radius of SCP-XXXX-1 will undergo a change in pitch to 48 Hz; however, it is not uncommon for affected noise to briefly relapse in pitch before returning to 48 Hz. If the anomalous substance is thoroughly frozen, the auditory anomaly will cease.
If the anomalous substance is separated from its jar in any circumstance other than a response to the Injured Criteria, the substance will dissolve at a rate of 9.67 cm³ per second. The dissolved substance will return to any of the four jars within five metres; if the jar is full or there is no jars within range, then the substance will not dissolve. Sound produced by separated substance will always be at a pitch of 48 Hz, but noise is not otherwise affected.
The primary anomalous effect of SCP-XXXX-1 occurs when a subject meeting the Injured Criteria comes within a five (5) meter radius of SCP-XXXX-1. A subject affected by SCP-XXXX-1 is to be referred to as SCP-XXXX-2; if multiple instances of SCP-XXXX-2 exist, then they are to be assigned a unique letter.
SCP-XXXX Injured criteria:
- The subject is endothermic and mammalian
- The subject is experiencing externally open wounds or significant internal bleeding
- The wound of the subject is not cauterised, escharred, sutured, pulled together, or otherwise sealed
- The volume of the open wound or collective missing tissue does not exceed the amount of SCP-XXXX-1 within radius
- The subject is clinically alive and able to perform automatic tasks such as breathing and blinking
The affected area of SCP-XXXX-2 will begin to fill at the same rate the anomalous substance dissolves (9.67 cm³ per second); subsequently, the nearest source of anomalous substance (either in a jar of SCP-XXXX-1 or separated) will begin to dissolve in accordance with the filling of the wound.
Foreign material placed in the anomalous substance will appear to dissolve at the same rate of the substance. It is not known what happens to the substance because it does not transport, but the foreign material will transport with the anomalous substance if it does not dissolve first.
If the affected area is major and involves the loss of a limb or damage of an organ, the anomalous substance will only mimic the general shape; the interior will either be solid or hollow. Similarly, the substance will never alter in composition. Despite this, SCP-XXXX-2 will be able to use the affected area per its function before injury2. In addition, the substance will solidify and adopt a hardiness similar to bone; however, mobile parts will still move as intended.
If an affected area is re-injured, the anomalous substance will pull together to repair itself at a rate of 9.67 cm³ per second. If the anomalous substance is separated from SCP-XXXX-2 and removed from SCP-XXXX-1's area of affect, the substance will spread its volume out. If this is impossible, penetrative irregular pits and holes will form across the affected area.
If the affected area is totally severed from SCP-XXXX-2, the original structure of the affected area will appear at a rate equal to the separation of the affected area from SCP-XXXX-2. The original injures sustained will be healed; however, any unique markings (tattoos, scars, freckles, etc.) will be gone. Pigmentation, if it existed in the affected area, will be irregular.
SCP-XXXX-2 Affected Area Traits
- SCP-XXXX-2 will experience a reduced sensation
- SCP-XXXX-2 will not produce an internal temperature
- Body fluids and chemicals introduced to SCP-XXXX-2 from a non-affected area will pass through the affected area normally
- The affected area will not anomalously affect sound when it is solid; if it is moving in response to trauma, noise within 5-15cm of the affected area will change to a pitch of 48Hz.
- SCP-XXXX-2 can be affected by SCP-XXXX-1 in multiple, unconnected areas.

Test #: 1
Date: 11/12/██
Subject: One (1) ALB/c mice (white laboratory mice)
Intention: Controlled replication of Incident XXXXX-██
Procedure: SCP-XXXX-1 placed within range of the mouse. The mouse was sedated and its left haunch was shaved and cut superficially with a scalpel.
Results: The incision filled with a black, viscous substance resembling SCP-XXXX-1.
SCP-XXXX was recovered from your mom's house.
SCP-XXXX
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
Description: SCP-XXXX is a collection of twelve glacial potholes at coordinates ████, ████ in Residence Synyohora, a national park in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine. The primary anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX manifest when a glacial pothole is filled with water to a depth of at least 16 centimeters. The bottom of the pothole will cease to be visible, and the liquid will serve as an aperature into an interdimensional space hereafter referred to as SCP-XXXX-A. The secondary anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX manifest when a living organism passes through the aperature and makes direct contact with the atmosphere of SCP-XXXX-A.
SCP-XXXX-A is non-euclidian and is hypothesized to be the interior of a toridial space. The aperature will lead to what is designated as the center of the third quadrant of the space. The gravitational field of the space is 89.9% that of Earth, and the atmosphere is extremely humid, foggy, and cold.
