Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4978-A is to be given a 132 sq ft containment cell with adjoining bathroom complete with shower, a toilet and a sink. SCP-4978-A has been given permission to decorate the main containment area however she pleases as long as it doesn't potentially risk a containment breach.
The current layout of the containment area consists of a twin bed, a TV, a dresser that contains SCP-4978-A’s clothes, which SCP-4978-A may request although they may be denied. A shelf stocked full of various art supplies, art desk with a small desktop (that doesn't have access to the internet) and an electronic art tablet. SCP-4978-A has hung several posters on the containment area's walls per request. SCP-4978 is not given permission to leave site 9 for any reason. Staff are only given permission to interact with SCP-4978 when not on active duty and only with verbal permission from SCP-4978-A and the acting site director. SCP-4978-A is not given permission to possess and or keep in containment any object that could be potentially used to cause self harm and or be used to commit suicide and any object found in the possession of SCP-4978-A that matches this description is to be confiscated imediatly and SCP-4978-A is to be checked for any self harm.
After interaction with SCP-4978 subject is required to take class A amnestics to combat the negative effects of exposure to SCP-4978 (see incident report SCP-4978-A-1). SCP-4978-B is to be kept in SCP-4978-A’s containment area or in the possession of SCP-4978-A, any attempts to remove SCP-4978-B from the containment area or from SCP-4978-A is strictly prohibited. — with the exception of testing purposes. —

Description:SCP-4978-A is a 15 year old female humanoid of asian descent who goes by the given name Pharis. It has been confirmed via birth certificate this is SCP-4978-A’s birth name. Measuring at 1.5 meters and weighing 44.5 kg. SCP-4978-A’s anomalyous property has been described as “Nearly Identical” to SCP-999.
When subjects are within 1.5 meters of SCP-4978-A they immediately begin feeling intense feelings of joy, satisfaction with one’s life, and an overall increase in mood and happiness.This effect has been shown to last 24 hours. When a subject is touched in any way by SCP-4978-A they are sent into a feeling of euphoria, testing showing an overall increase in happiness and positive emotions by 600% in a subject who was hugged by SCP-4978-A for approximately 3 seconds, this effect lasted 7 hours. Subjects exposed to SCP-4978’s anomalyous effects are afterward shown to suffer intense symptoms of separation anxiety when not in the presence of SCP-4978 and may attempt to violently gain access to SCP-4978. (See incident report SCP-4978-A-1) Permission to use SCP-4978 to treat mental health issues such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, etc has been rejected due to the negative effects of separation from SCP-4978.
SCP-4978 was discovered by foundation personale on █/█/████ in ████████████ in the care of ███████. Nobody else in SCP-4978-A’s family was shown to have any anomalous properties and it is unknown how SCP-4978-A acquired their's.
Despite SCP-4978-A’s effects SCP-4978-A suffers symptoms of severe depression and anxiety, with several attempts at self harm and suicide on record. SCP-4978-A is currently undergoing therapy to treat this. It is unknown if these symptoms are caused by SCP-4978-A’s containment.
SCP-4978-A is very shy and mistrusting of most humans, especially those of the male gender although SCP-4978-A has been observed to enjoy all interaction with staff and has a generally helpful attitude, especially in cases where the subject suffers from some sort of depression. In this case SCP-4978-A will attempt to “cheer up” the subject by any means possible, seemingly not aware of the effect SCP-4978 already has on individuals. SCP-4978-A seems to be able to have the ability to “sense” individuals who suffer from some sort of depression or anxiety though it is unknown how this is achieved.
SCP-4978-B is a small stuffed animal Canis Lupus Familiaris with a tan/white color scheme making it roughly resemble a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. It was recovered alongside SCP-4978-A upon initial containment. SCP-4978-B is indistinguishable from any other stuffed animal and possesses no unusual marks.
SCP-4978-B possess the same anomalous properties as SCP-4978-A, including the side effect of extreme separation anxiety when not in the presence of SCP-4978. This separation anxiety has shown to effect SCP-4978-A as well.
Incident Report SCP-4978-A-1:
The following is an incident report filed by Dr.███████ on █/█/████involving SCP-4978-A and Dr.████
█:██pm: Dr. ████ was observed acting irrationally and mumbling about “seeing that adorable girl”.
█:██pm: Surveillance recorded that during a regularly scheduled lunch break Dr.████ abruptly stood up and exclaimed “I can’t take it anymore! I have to see her!” before sprinting toward SCP-4978’s containment area. On site security notified immediately.
█:██pm: Female scream is heard from SCP-4978’s containment cell.
█:██pm: On site security enter SCP-4978’s containment cell and witness Dr.████ clinging to a visibly uncomfortable SCP-4978-A who is heard politely asking Dr.████ to remove himself from her, no response from Dr.████ who continues clinging to SCP-4978-A.
Dr.████ is forcibly removed from SCP-4978-A, who apologizes for the trouble it “caused” SCP-4978 is reassured it did nothing wrong and Dr.████ is removed from SCP-4978’s containment cell.
Dr.████ was given class A amnestics, reprimanded for his behavior, and transferred to site ██. Delivery of class A amnestics post-interaction with SCP-4978 added to Special Containment Procedures and all individuals who have come into contact with SCP-4978 have been given class A amnestics to avoid further incidents.
Addendum SCP-4978-A-A
The following is a report written after an experiment where SCP-682 was exposed to SCP-4978-A to see if SCP-682 would be affected by the subject in a hopefully similar, but less deadly, fashion as SCP-999.
SCP-4978-A enters SCP-682’s containment area.
SCP-682 stands motionless and stares at SCP-4978-A
5 minutes elapse of SCP-4978-A screaming and banging and begging and SCP-682 staring and standing motionless
Dr. █████ begins to end the test and deem it a failure when SCP-682 begins slowly moving toward SCP-4978-A who has stopped banging and making any vocalizations aside from sobbing. The subject has a assumed a upright fetal position while resting against the door. Test allowed to continue.
SCP-4978-A seems unaware of SCP-682’s movement until SCP-682 lies beside them. When change of SCP-682’s position was noticed by SCP-4978-A it ceased all movement and all noise.
SCP-682 abruptly stands up with a grunt, says something unintelligible, and moves to the far end of the containment area and begins sleeping.

Addendum SCP-4978-A-B: After the test recorded in addendum SCP-4789-A-A, SCP-4978-A enters a state of panic that lasts at maximum 2 hours when SCP-682 or reptiles are mentioned. Staff are required to refrain from mentioning SCP-682 or any other reptile while SCP-4789-A is within earshot to avoid this reaction.
Note: No behavior changes apparent in SCP-682. I advice any future tests to try and make this [DATA EXPUNGED] lizard into something even slightly manageable should be canceled because nothing seems to fucking work. - Dr██ .
Addendum SCP-4978-A-C
By pure coincidence, Dr. ████ found an instance of SCP-4978-B on amazon listed as "Levenkeness Corgi Dog Plush Pillow, Soft Cute Shiba Inu Akita Stuffed Animals Toy Gifts (brown, 11.8 in" while searching for a gift for her husband. Dr.████ notified the Foundation of her discovery and was ordered to place a shipment. When the stuffed dog arrived to Site 9 dropbox it contained no anomalous properties. Testing to see if SCP-4978-A can "infect" objects/individuals with their anomaly is pending approval.
