SCP-4126 Gloomy Chord Progression

Special Containment Procedures: Unable to contain the object with normal methods. Because of the creation of the SCP-4126-1 are possible for any musicians. The Foundation are using members who have learnt music theory with Anti-cognitive harm equipment to monitor all the audio/midi/music score exchange platforms to specially contain SCP-4126. When members have detected SCP-4126-1 from any public platforms, members need to remove all the SCP-4126-1 and capture all the people that are related to the creation/release of the SCP-4126-1 immediately. Members need to give all the people who have contact with SCP-4126-1 without having Anti-cognitive harm equipment need to have memory clears to prevent larger damage.

Description: SCP-4126 is a tonal harmonic progression, which is close to 20th century western music style. It belongs to ██ key. This harmonic progression is made of 12 chords, which are:

“██ chord - ████ chord - Diminished ███ chord- ███ chord - ████ - ███ chord- █████ - ██ chord - ████ - ████ - ███ chord - ████”

From the ███ chord to the ███ chord, it deviates from ████ key to ████ key for █ times. We are able to know that the ████, ████, ████ and ████ chord are very lack of harmony. Between ███ sections it sounds almost atonal. Currently we know by playing any piece that contain this harmonic progression with any instruments or instrumental SCP in any beat, any tempo, will cause the listener to became extremely gloomy with strong suicidal tendency. 89% test subject try to commit suicide after listen to SCP-4126-1, 100% test musician subjects ask not to play SCP-4126-1 before the Foundation forcing them to play. Any objects that contain SCP-4126 are called SCP-4126-1. Playing SCP-4126-1 with different inversions of the chords or with different key would cause less affect. It depends on how much the harmonic progression has changed from SCP-4126. If SCP-4126-1 are recorded in different ways rather than music, for example: music score. Then it would still cause cognitive harm to the viewers if they can read music, the level of harm depends on how much the viewers can understand SCP-4126 from SCP-4126-1. If a creature is able to hear things but not able to read music score, then the creature will not get affected by the music score form of SCP-4126-1, but still get affected by the audio form of SCP-4126-1. If a creature is not able to understand hearing, then it will not get affected by SCP-4126-1. Our audio study members are unable to understand the mystery of SCP-4126 before they [DATA EXPUNGED].

Discovery:
SCP-4126 was found from 5 music pieces(SCP-4126-1) written after 20th century. Two of them were not well-known because the creators of these two SCP-4126-1 didn't have the ability to became musicians(SCP-4126-3, SCP-4126-5). The other 3 SCP-4126-1 caused a lot of death events in the world. At first the Foundation are not able to define SCP-4126. During the process of defining SCP-4126 caused █ death of our members and █ members got serious mental illness. At last the Foundation defined SCP-4126 as a harmonic progression made of 12 chords that are used in these 5 SCP-4126-1. The Foundation removed all the recordings and documents about SCP-4126-1. But the news of the 3 SCP-4126-1 were spread too widely in the world that the Foundation were unable to hide all the facts of SCP-4126. The Foundation made a deal with all the censorship departments on earth to rank these 3 SCP-4126-1 as the "Three banned song of the world" to control the spread of these three SCP-4126's knowledge, while removed all the SCP-4126-1.

Addendum 4126-A：Containment breach
After the Foundation removed 5 SCP-4126-1, there is another SCP-4126-1 was found from a Chinese poet who committed suicide during 198█(SCP-4126-6). The poet was the creator of both the lyrics and the song of SCP-4126-1-6.The lyrics was a poem about the depressing of the current government. The good thing is, SCP-4126-1-7 is not spread to the world yet (because of government censorship). After the Foundation removed all the music scores form of the SCP-4126-1-6, the poem was remained in the poet's apartment and SCP-4126 was confirmed contained.

Test Subject：D-19543, D-20020, D-25034, D-29242

Procedure:
1. All the test subjects were musicians.
2. All the test subjects entered an empty containing chamber.
3. D-19543 was asked to write a small music piece with SCP-4126,
4. Repeat the previous procedure 3 for test subject D-19543, D-20020, D-25034 and D-29242. However, they are required to write with different requirements:
D-19543: 12 measures, original key, original inversions of chords, any tempo.
D-20020: ██ measures, original key, original inversions of chords, different tempo with different time signature from D-19543.
D-25034: ██ measures, █ key, different inversions of chords, different tempo with different time signature from D-19543.
D-29242: 12 measures, █ key, different inversions of chords, same tempo from D-19543.
All the test subjects showed great unwillingness. However, they all finished the piece within 4 hours.
5. Marked these four piece with SCP-4126-1-7, SCP-4126-1-8, SCP-4126-1-9, SCP-4126-1-10.
6. Save the following piece as midi file, released the subjects.
7. D-19543, D-20020, D-29242 asked for execution. Denied. D-19543, D-20020 committed suicide by [DATA EXPUNGED], [DATA EXPUNGED].
8. D-25034 was found [DATA EXPUNGED] after [DATA EXPUNGED].

Conclusion: As the subjects studied more about SCP-4126, they suffered more cognitive harm from SCP-4126-1-7, SCP-4126-1-8, SCP-4126-1-9, SCP-4126-10. If any creature contact with SCP-4126-1 in non-audio form, they would suffered from cognitive harm depending on how well they could understand the music form of SCP-4126-1.

Procedure:
1. Opened 4 soundproof chambers.
2. Each 1/4 of the test-subjects entered one soundproof chamber.
3. Played SCP-4126-1-7, SCP-4126-1-8, SCP-4126-1-9, SCP-4126-1-10 to each soundproof chamber.
4. Record the scene.
SCP-4126-1-7: ██ of the D class [DATA EXPUNGED].
SCP-4126-1-8: ██ of the D class [DATA EXPUNGED].
SCP-4126-1-9: ██ of the D class were psychologically healthy, ██ D class [DATA EXPUNGED].
SCP-4126-1-10: ██ of the D class were psychologically healthy, ██ D class [DATA EXPUNGED].
5. Released remained D class from 3rd, 4th chamber, clear the [DATA EXPUNGED] from all four chamber.

Conclusion: Tempo, Time signature would not affect how SCP-4126-1 function. Changing keys, changing inversions of chords would reduce the level of cognitive harm from SCP-4126-1.

Test Subject：SCP-1758

Procedure:
1, D-20041 was introduced to a soundproof room with SCP-1758 and a carbon fiber bow, the room contained a music score form of SCP-4126. D-20041 was a violin player.
2, D-21004, D-21005 was introduced to the soundproof room.
3, Asked D-20041 to start playing the piece. Denied D-20041's request █████ the score.
4, D-20041 started to play, before it reached the part which contained SCP-4126, all three D-class were psychologically healthy. D-21004 and D-21005 were really into D-20041's performance.
When D-20041 reached SCP-4126 part, he stopped for few seconds and asked to stop.
5, Forced D-20041 to play the song by using execution threat, D-20041 continued unwillingly.
6, After D-20041 finished his performance, D-20041 [DATA EXPUNGED] after he smashed SCP-1758 on the ground and break the bow. D-21004 and D-21005 were confirmed brain death.

Conclusion: The affect caused by SCP-1758 and SCP-4126 might be superposable, but the cognitive harm of having two affects at the same time is deadly to human brain. Even there is a possibility to redo the experiment on a smarter creature, but for safety, the experiment should not be continued.
