Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4814 is to be contained in a cell at all times, at no point should SCP-4814 be transported through the facility.
Handling of SCP-4814 is strictly forbidden. Any prolonged exposure to SCP-4814 must be reported immediately, and any subject must be █████████ as soon as possible.
Any Site Personel operating within a ██-metre radius of SCP-4814 for a prolonged period of time must take frequent breaks, vacating the ██-metre radius for up to 10 minutes at a time, every 30 minutes.
This is a mandatory procedure, failure to comply will result in termination.
Description: SCP-4814 appears to be an AG13/LR44 button cell battery.
SCP-4814's anomalistic property lies in its ability to infect any human being within a ██-metre radius a severe amount of radiation poisoning within a small period of time, such as ███ Hour(s).
SCP-4814 has been observed to emit 0 Sv, and it is currently unknown as to how exactly SCP-4814 provides humans with a lethal dose of radiation.
Tests have shown that SCP-4814's effects are only felt by that of humans, meaning all harmful properties of SCP-4814 do not act upon any other animal known to man.
SCP-4814 was located in the rural village of ██████, ██████████ located in England and was retrieved in the year 20██. Many villagers fell ill after a significant rise in acute radiation poisoning was reported by local hospitals, to which local Police Constabularies began investigating the area.
Naturally, the authorities didn't find anything, as they searched for SCP-4814 using Geiger Counters. It was when the British Authorities alerted the SCP Foundation that Dr. ██████ alongside Prof. ██████ were flown to London and driven by Foundation Personel to the infected area where they used the █████████ technique to locate SCP-4814.
SCP-4814 was located deep underground, ████ metres, further down than any individual could have dug. It is unknown as to how SCP-4814 got so far underground seemingly overnight.
During its time in the village of ██████, its harmful properties injured ██ people and killed ██ people. These deaths were blamed on infectious diseases in the tap water of the village by MI█, authorised by and in co-operation of Dr. ██████ of the SCP foundation.
The situation was kept from public knowledge and all local radio stations, news channels, online news sources and newspapers were directly told by Mr. █████, Head of the Department of ██████████, to not run the story.
Addendum: Local villagers who were injured or had loved-ones die were compensated by the British FEMA division.
All individuals infected were treated for their symptoms. ██ additional people died from their injuries after SCP-4814 was extracted.
It has been observed that the anomalistic effects of SCP-4814 are felt by close primates such as Apes. The effects on the primates are less drastic than the effects on a human, however.
