Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a container at in Site-██ at all times. The container should only be accessible by airlock and cameras should be fitted in each corner of the room. All air vents leading to SCP-XXXXs container must be fitted with air filtration units and must be cleaned frequently.

SCP-XXXX should only be accessible by level 3 or higher. All personnel entering SCP-XXXXs container must wear a hazmat suit with a air filtration system. Personnel that have entered SCP-XXXXs container must be evaluated for 24 hours upon exit. Any growths detected on personnel will result in immediate termination of said personnel

Description: SCP-XXXX are animated driftwood figures that can resemble any type of mammal.
These figures do not seem to possess any level of intelligence and will not react to members of their kind being damaged or destroyed. SCP-XXXX can make a habitat suitable for it to live in, growing vines, foliage, and trees. SCP-XXXX does not seem to react to anyone around it.

SCP-XXXX will randomly release spores from its body which will stay in the air for 3 days at a time. If inhaled the spores will start to infect the lungs of the host making it difficult to breath after some time. After 1 hour of inhaling the spores, growths will start to appear on the skin of the host causing extreme pain. After 5 hours the skin of the host will be completely turned into driftwood and will fall apart. At [DATA EXPUNGED] the pile of driftwood will reanimate, into a random mammal, commonly humanoids. When assembled again the SCP-XXXX instance will make its surroundings suitable for living if not already.

Recovery Log: Subjects were recovered on ██/██/20██ in [REDACTED]. Fifteen SCP-XXXX subjects were taken into custody: further investigation found no anomalous properties in any other individuals. Amnestics were administered to detainees and the general populace, and coverup measures were enacted without further incident. Monitoring of the area is ongoing in order to detect the source of SCP-XXXX or any other additional instances.
