SCP-4376
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4376 must be kept in a 15m by 15m by 10m concrete room with a ceiling, floor and walls padded with foam so SCP-4376 does not physically injure itself due to its lack of control over its anomalous properties. The room is not to have anything except for SCP-4376, SCP-4396 and a small, easy-access dog bed inside at any given time without proper approval, including food and personnel.
Description:
SCP-4679 is a light gray collar with the name “Bubbles” engraved into it. It grows and shrinks to meet the size of its host, but this is the least noteworthy of its anomalous properties. When SCP-4376 is vocally referred to as a name, its host will change and shape itself to become what the name it was called describes. If away from a host for █ hours, it will quickly return to the neck of its most recent host.
SCP-4376 appears to enjoy being tested upon, as anyone who has tested with it while testing it can confirm.
SCP-4376 was first brought to the Foundation’s attention by a man in ███████, Illinois. He said he went to get his dog, bubbles, a new collar from ███████. He put the collar on the dog, and drove home. When he decided to take his dog for a walk, he called it, and as soon as he did so, the dog became a Toy Poodle and began to “float away.” The Foundation was informed, the owner was given an amnestic, and SCP-4376 was contained.
Dr. ██████ referred to SCP-4376 as “SCP-4376” out loud while speaking with fellow staff. Security cameras picked up SCP-4376 dropping to the ground and becoming affected by gravity, becoming a border collie, and the name tag on its collar changing to “SCP-4376”. Another staff member said to Dr. ██████ that he thought the name tag read “Bubbles.” As soon as they said this, SCP-4376 reverted back to the way it was before. A mentionable notice is that the border collie is the most intelligent breed of dog known to exist. From this point forward SCP-4376 is to be referred to as “bubbles” as its name tag reads when referring to it out loud in order to avoid another circumstance such as this one.
