ManofDiscovery [SCP Proposal]

Proposal for SCP-(XXXX): Heart-Shaped Candy Box

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-(XXXX) is to be kept in a standard issue containment locker at Site-19, away from any objects capable of being placed inside SCP-(XXXX). Said locker is to be cleaned every second day as to prevent buildup of dust inside of the locker or SCP-(XXX). SCP-(XXXX) is to be treated with paper preservatives in order to ward off further deterioration and checked for any instances of SCP-(XXXX)-1. All instances of SCP-(XXXX)-1 are to be collected and placed in a separate air-tight storage locker for further research and testing.

All on-site staff assigned to SCP-(XXXX) are required to be in stable relationships (for a minimum of 4-10 years prior…) with a significant other and go through couples therapy (supplied by the foundation) and regular psyche evaluations every two weeks.

Description: SCP-(XXXX) is a medium sized cardboard candy-box made of high end industry cardboard. The box itself is in the shape of a romanticized heart, maroon coloured and adorned with multiple decorative rhinestones and a 6x18mm strip of paper located in the center of SCP-(XXXX) reading “Amour: La plus douce des délices que la vie puisse offrir” (translated Love: The sweetest treat life can offer).

[note: SCP-(XXXX) also has multiple bloodstains on the left side of its lid and box.

SCP-(XXXX) has two anomalous effects. Initially, if SCP-(XXXX) is given to another individual as a gift, the rhinestones located on SCP-(XXXX) will relocate above the paper strip in the middle of SCP-(XXXX) and warp its shape to display the recipients name, pet name or whatever form of identification is most commonly used and favoured between the donor and the recipient. Its secondary anomalous effect occurs whenever any object is placed inside of SCP-(XXXX). After 3 seconds of being placed inside of SCP-(XXXX), a notable odor will emanate from SCP-(XXXX) and when opened will reveal a number of unknown candies ranging from gumdrops and caramels to alcoholic chocolates and other high end gourmet confectioneries). SCP-(XXXX)'s secondary effect will not be triggered if the lid cannot be properly placed on the box or if any holes or other protrusions are found to cause the interior of SCP-(XXXX) to be visible from its exterior.

Discovery: SCP-(XXXX) was discovered in Paris, France on Feb. 25. 20XX, in the [DATA EXPUNGED] household after following incident of the imprisonment and mutilation of David and Annalise [DATA EXPUNGED] and the disappearance of their son Andrew's romantic partner Elizabeth [DATA EXPUNGED]. Foundation operatives were among the authorities called in to investigate reports by worried friends and neighbors that the [DATA EXPUNGED] family hadn't left their house in weeks after some a domestic dispute and later reported muffled wails from the household two days later. When the authorities and the agents arrived at the scene, they had found nothing unusual on the first floor and proceeded to the upstairs where they found the ground littered with countless wrappers of varying candies and confectioneries and the walls covered in hearts and the text "Amour" "L'amour de ma vie", "Ou est l'amour? Ou est MON amour?", "J'ai BESOIN de plus d'amour, j'ai BESOIN de plus BONBON" all drawn and scrawled in a mixture of white vanilla frosting and human blood. The mother, Annalise, was found in the master bedroom tied to the bed by her arms, waist and neck, as both her legs had been amateurishly amputated. Other injuries included the removal of the tongue, multiple teeth, left eye and ear, lips and nose as well as scarring on the scalp and arms. The father, was found dead and decomposing in the son's room with a gaping hole in his chest and his heart nowhere to be found. Finally the son was found passed out in the bathroom in an extremely emaciated state, clutching a single scrap of photo of him and the missing girl showing only their faces. All parties were taken into foundation custody and all eternal parties associated with the incident were given Class A amnestics and told the family had been attacked by a psychopath resulting in the deaths of the family and the disappearance of Elizabeth [DATA EXPUNGED].
