This is a concept I have tossed back and forth in my head for quite some time now. It consists of a tree located in what will probably be urban california which grows at a rapid pace. For instance when it was first planted within a half a year is about the size of an 80 year old Oak Tree. Upon observing the contents of some of the branches of the tree, they found structures like rooms, prepped to have wires and plumbing to be placed throughout the tree. Thick bark would cover outlets like windows and doorways.

After intensive research they found out that a biological engineer who specialized in botany and architecture/structural engineering had designed many species of these trees and planted a few of them in remote locations. The engineer had since committed suicide after his efforts had been thoroughly thwarted by some other corporations who believed the concept was not sustainable and would be detrimental to a multitude of industries. The trees ranged from housing to small business buildings. Documents featuring plans even of skyscraper like trees from redwood had been worked on extensively. The environmental impact of these trees showed remarkable results which lead most of the investigative team to question the original intentions behind snuffing out the engineer and his efforts. The unfortunate detail is this had happened long enough ago that much of the evidence that would support a reason had since been destroyed due to this having happened towards the early 70’s.
