SCP-4961 (By Manovar)

Item #: SCP-4961

Object class: Keter

Description: SCP-4951 is a red-colored beast, the size of a human. They travel on all fours, possessing large human like hands and lizard-like hind legs. The eyes are black, with white irises, and their mouth contains 2 rows of sharp teeth on both jaws. The legs are very large, similar to SCP-939. SCP-4951 is very muscular, and can climb on walls and ceilings. Despite its size and muscularity, SCP-4951 can move almost silently, and at high speeds. SCP-4951’s head possesses horns. 4 horns lie on the side and curve upward, while a horn on top of its head seems to run along the back to the nape of its neck. The creature is capable of speech, and has shown to be intelligent. The SCP is capable of regurgitating a strange, green liquid. The liquid has the ability to convert organisms who ingest it into another SCP-4951, to be named SCP-4951-#, respectively. The creature is rather weak, and it is easily stunned by bullets, electrical shocks, or compression blasts. However, its speed makes it difficult to do so.

Special containment procedures: SCP-4951 is to be kept in a large 50'-by-50'150'-by-150' room made of strong metallic alloys. The room must have multiple layers, and any vent systems must be smaller than the creature’s head. A single table is to be fused to the chamber floor, to be used for interviews. The table must be out in the open, and interviews must be conducted under watch of highly-armed MTF units. If a breach is reported, personnel will be evacuated to level-4 and level-5 safe rooms and a highly armored and dangerous MTF group will be sent to search for the creature. All vents will be sealed, and a tear gas will be pumped into the ventilation shafts. Afterwards, the shafts will be searched for SCP-4951, who will have been incapacitated if in the vents. If the MTF group finds them, the amount of bullets should be enough to incapacitate them long enough to be returned to a temporary storage unit while any damages to the containment chamber are fixed.

Addendum: SCP-4951 was discovered in the French Catacombs beneath Paris, when MTF units searched the area to investigate reports of missing people. Contact with the group was lost, and a second group was sent in. A radio log containing communication between the second group (MTF2) and the nearby van (SCPV) goes as follows:
MTF2: These catacombs are creepy as all hell…
SCPV: Keep focused, soldier. You’ve trained a lot for this.
MTF2: Yeah, yeah, I know- Hey, Mark, what’s that?
MTF2 (Mark): What are you- oh god…
MTF2: MTF squad 󇟗󇟗𷡐򇖛-󗱶𗬲𷡐𷡐􈁓 to SCPV, we’ve found squad 1. Not much left. Looks like the aftermath of Scp-096 or something.
SCPV: Except 096 doesn’t leave anything behind, mostly. Can we get details, squad 󇟗󇟗𷡐򇖛-󗱶𗬲𷡐𷡐􈁓?
MTF2: They’ve all been ripped to pieces. Some of ‘em look eaten… wait, there’s a blood trail over here.
SCPV: MTF2, follow the blood. Stay grouped together and keep all weapons at the ready. Don’t let your guard down.
MTF2: 10-4.
(A couple of minutes pass before MTF2 says something)
MTF2: What the…
SCPV: What do you see?
MTF2: What the hell is that thing!?
SCPV: Switch on your shoulder camera. We might be able to see something.
(The camera feed activates, showing a staticy image of SCP-4951 hunched over one of the previous MTF’s arm. It looks up, and is heard to vocalize in a raspy voice, “More have come…” before camera feed cuts out. The SCPV focuses back on the radio.)
MTF2: Oh, God! Oh, FUCK! OH SHIT!! (Running is heard, followed by rapid-fire gunshots and screaming.)
SCPV: MTF2, what’s going on?
MTF2: IT GOT MARK! RUN! GET OUT OF HERE!! (More screaming is heard, and this time, a terrible splatter echoes through the caverns.)
MTF2: WE GOTTA GO! WE GOTTA GOAAA- (The radio cuts out.)
At this point, a third group as sent into the catacombs. The remaining members of group two were rescued, and 4951 was quickly gunned down. Only 3 out of 6 members of group two survived. Group one was declared deceased. The remains were cleaned out, and the catacombs were kept closed until further inspection proved there were no other creatures.
The first interview with SCP-4951 was a failure. It was only on the third question when the creature attacked and killed Dr. 󗱶𗬲𷡐𷡐󗱶𗬲𷡐 before being subdued once again. The creature, apparently hungry, later escaped from containment and killed several other researchers. When it was re-contained, the special vent systems were implemented. Its chamber was also redesigned.

Addendum 2: A test was approved with SCP-4951 and SCP-939.
[BEGIN LOG]
SCP-4951(referred to as Alpha-1) approached SCP-939-◘ (Which will be referred to as Beta-1) and investigated the creature. It seemed to be smelling it. Beta-1 was not aware of Alpha-1’s presence, due to how silently it was moving. Alpha-1 began to move faster, making more noise. Beta-1 took notice, and also began investigating it. Then, unexpectedly, they began talking.
Beta-1: I recognize you…
Alpha-1: It has been a long time since I’ve seen your people.
Beta-1: There have not been many of us since the “Great Dying”, have there?
Alpha-1: No, perhaps not. I have not seen of my own kind, either.
Beta-1: Perhaps, we are the last ones…
Alpha-1. Yes. I will work on reviving our numbers, though. One day we will either convince these petty humans to help us… or bring them to their knees.
Site Director ◘◘◘◘◘ called for the meeting to end. SCP-939-◘ was lured away using a dog’s barking, and SCP-4951 was quickly incapacitated. 4951, when woken up, desperately attempted to escape the chamber, although it did not yet have the strength to do so. The SCP gave up, and moved to a corner of the room to sleep.
[END LOG]
At the moment, termination attempts are pending approval.

Addendum 3: An incident occurred with D-95640. The creature had recently breached, and D-95640, a strong, nimble man, had managed to disable the facility guards guiding him. He, however, was losing a fist fight between him and the two guards. SCP-4951 jumped out of a vent, killing the guards and pinning down D-95640. The SCP, after talking with the D-class personnel for some time (audio flies were damaged for unknown reasons), regurgitated its green liquid into D-95640’s mouth and dragged them into the vents. The vents had no security footage, and said vents did not yet have the safety system installed yet. Around 10 minutes later, SCP-4951 was viewed leaving the vent followed by another SCP-4951, labeled 4951-2. By the markings on its forearm, it was determined the creature was D-95640. It was noted that if an organism consumes the strange green liquid, it will transform into a creature similar to SCP-4951. Further research was conducted involving two other Class-D, who, similar to D-95640, were turned into SCP-4951-3 and SCP-4951-4. It was determined that, if 4531 were to escape containment and increase their numbers enough, it could potentially convert all of humanity- and every other form of life on Earth- into specimens of SCP-4951, resulting in an XK-Class End of the World event. Not only that, but its high level of intelligence means it could potentially break other SCPs out of containment, which could cause an XK-Class event in of itself. It is now of top priority that SCP-4951 and other specimen of that species do not escape the facility ever.

Addendum 4: A mass containment breach was instigated by all 4 instances of SCP-4951. Facility power sources were damaged, and many dangerous SCPs were breached. Among these wee SCP-096, 3 instances of SCP-939, SCP-106, and SCP-049. Several D-Class were also converted into SCP-4951 instances, resulting in 15 total. Most SCPs were contained within a few hours, but SCP-096 was unable to be found. They were discovered in SCP-4951’s chamber, being consumed by older instances of SCP-4951. SCP-096 was taken from the chamber and recontained, but remained unresponsive inside his chamber. Eventually, usual activity started back up, but slowly. It is plausible that SCP-4951 attempted to convert SCP-096 to its species.
