Item # SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: All contained instances of SCP-XXXX are to be individually held at Site-06-3 in standard humanoid containment chambers. Chambers containing instances of SCP-XXXX are to be located as far away from the site's loading area as possible, and no vehicles of any sort are permitted to operate within 500 meters of their designated containment area. Instances are permitted to keep any small items they bring with them when taken into Foundation custody, and to socialize and trade items with one another at appropriate times.
In the event of any uncontained instances of SCP-XXXX having been sighted on public transit, Foundation agents must locate the vehicle the instance was sighted on once stopped, and search all buildings and vehicles within the area for the instance until it is located. Once in custody, it is to be calmly restrained and made unconscious with a shot anesthetic before transportation. Any witnesses to have sighted the instance of SCP-XXXX are to be administered Class-A amnestics.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a species of unknown humanoid entities, averaging at a height of approximately 2.5 meters, and a weight of 180 kilograms. Instances have pale white skin, and have tentacles of varying length protruding from their torso and head. They do not have faces behind the tentacles on their head. Despite lacking eyes, ears, or any visible sensory organs, they appear to have an accurate sense of their surroundings, and will often use their tentacles to help maneuver their way around, as well as pick up and feel objects. Lacking mouths, instances of SCP-XXXX are not capable of any sort of vocalizations. The Foundation currently holds custody over 4 instances of SCP-XXXX, designated as SCP-XXXX-A, SCP-XXXX-B, SCP-XXXX-C, and SCP-XXXX-D.
Instances of SCP-XXXX posses the ability to manifest themselves into any operating vehicle within a 500 meter radius, often choosing to enter public transit vehicles such as buses, trains, taxis, etc. Instances will usually choose not to exit the designated vehicle until it has reached a complete stop at any given destination. Once having exited the vehicle, instances will attempt to take shelter in any nearby structures, until another mode of transport is made available. Instances can not manifest themselves in this manner while unconscious. Instances of SCP-XXXX have been reported globally, yet are difficult to contain due the nature of their abilities. Reasons for the instances' travel is currently unknown.
The following is an excerpt from Field Agent Wilson's summary of her encounters with instances of SCP-XXXX (See document XXXX-3).
| "I mean, these things just seem lost, you know? As far as we can tell, they don't have any good reason for showing up as they do. Besides that, they stick out like a sore thumb wherever they appear, like they don't belong there. I don't know if they're trying to get back home, or escape from something, or whatever, the point is we can't let them keep wandering around like this, we've had plenty of witnesses who have lost their [expletive] at the sight of them. And if these things really are lost, then I guess 06-3 is as good a home as any." |
