SCP-XXXX-A emerging from an underground tunnel

SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedure: SCP-XXXX-A, SCP-XXXX-B, and SCP-XXXX-C are all to be contained in the biological wing of site 15. Each specimen of SCP-XXXX is to be kept in individual 5 by 5 by 5 meter cells, with titanium walls 5 centimeters thick. No light sources are to be used in these cells, except for one flood light, only to be turned on to incapacitate the SCP-XXXX for cleaning, feeding, extraction for testing, or in case of an attempted containment breach. Two night vision cameras are to be installed in each cell in the Northeast and Southwest ceiling corners, and the video feed from inside each cell must be monitored by on-site personnel at all times. In addition, two armed guards are to be stationed outside of each cell at all times.

Any testing on any specimens of SCP-XXXX must be first authorized by clearance of three level 4 personnel.

The remains of SCP-XXXX-D and of SCP-XXXX-E are to be cryogenically frozen and stored in freezers 15-06 and 15-08.
Removal for testing must be authorized by one level 4 personnel.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an unidentified species of large canine, characterized by their ability to tunnel through most solid materials at a rapid rate. SCP-XXXX is a predatory species, hunting in packs, much like other species of canine. Groups of SCP-XXXX live and travel in underground networks of subterranean tunnels, dug by packs of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX packs prefer to hunt at night, usually between 2000-300 hours.

Adult instances of SCP-XXXX can grow up to 2 meters in height, 3 meters in length, and weigh up to 450 kilograms. SCP-XXXX instances have extremely powerful forelimbs, as well as substantially durable claws, allowing them to dig through any material up to a ranking of 8.5 on Mohs scale of hardness. SCP-XXXX instances do have eyes, but they are sunken back into the skull, and are maladjusted to light. If exposed to a light source emitting more than 100 candelas, SCP-XXXX instances can be stunned for as the are exposed to said light source.

The three instances of SCP-XXXX in custody of the foundation, designated as SCP-XXXX-A, SCP-XXXX-B, and SCP-XXXX-C, were recovered from town X, Texas, after a series of missing persons incidents in the area, followed by a report to the local police by a resident, claiming she witnessed two “monsters”, which she described to be as dogs of massive size, emerging from the ground to attack her and her husband (see Addendum X).

Agents planted in the police force were promptly alerted, and soon after, mobile task force Beta-4 (“Castaways”) was dispatched to investigate the scene of the incident. Upon further investigation of the location of the alleged attack, Beta-4 discovered an entrance to what appeared to be a vast network of underground tunnels, running underneath the town.
