Special containment procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept in a soundproof observation cell fitted with a microphone designed to relay recorded audio to a local electronic database. Once every hour, SCP-XXXX is to be re-tuned according to the frequency logged by audio. SCP-XXXX's batteries must be replaced every 3 hours. Any instance of unusual audio is to be reported immediately to a containment specialist.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a transistor radio approximately 6cm in height and 10cm in length. It appears to match transistor radios made in 1952 but the smaller control dial (usually a sound control dial) changes what kind of frequency the radio picks up. The markings on the bottom of the radio indicate it being made in 1923 and the manufacturer an unknown company called ‘Marconi’s machine’. The company has never been registered.

SCP-XXXX doesn’t show any anomalous properties if the main frequency dial is adjusted. The smaller dial however changes the dimension the radio connects to. When the radio is connected to alternative dimensions the main dial can still be used to change the frequency. Through experimentation there have been eight alternative realties identified. The first three dimensions the radio can connect to have been chosen for research, called SCP-XXXX-1, -2, -3 (see below).

There is no sound control dial and the radio is locked at 90 decibel volumes. There is no way to turn the radio off other than removing the batteries. As multiple logs from each dimension are recorded every day, only important logs are documented (See below).

Summary of observation: SCP-XXXX-1 appears to be in a world war at the time of transmissions. Korea has appeared to unified, Texas has become independent and the USSR has stayed in power.
